I gave up too, but started again. It`s stress that gets to me. As soon as I`m stressed I gotta smoke. If I`m having a great time I don`t think about it much. I always have one in the morning, and one at night, but if I`m happy all day I can go without.

My dad died of cancer ( )when he was 49 and personally, i blame my grandparents; his mum and dad. Purely because he didn't smoke and they did. Yeah, i know thats wrong to assume, but perhaps if they hadn't smoked, he wouldn't have died how he did and when he did. Who knows? But i still shift the blame on them, and everything. Some of you may think i'm wrong in doing that, but im not bothered. I don't think it helps that i don't like them anyway That has put me off smoking for life, but i don't have much of a problem with other who smoke. As everyone has said, its their choice. So long as they don't blow it in my face or anything, like some randomers have done to me before ( >.< ) i have no problem with it. Wow, we have something in common- I mean, what kind of cancer did he die of, if it ain't too much to ask? *huggles*

Aww Jess I only just saw your post. So sorry to hear that. No one can blame you for feeling the way you do about your grandparents smoking. I don`t think medical science truly knows how much of an effect passive smoking has - but I think all smokers HAVE to accept that it can and does put non smokers at risk - and therefore, if you`re gonna smoke, you shouldn`t do it around people who don`t. Sadly, years ago, they didn`t have the same health warnings and information that we have now ... I bet alot of people would have given up if they had.

i dont smoke, but one of my best friends does. I dont care if she smokes, its what she was her to do. BUT... she did quit for a bit, i think it was for about 6 months, but shes starting to smoke again. I'm ok with it, its her choice, but i dont want her to smoke around me. so, yeah... x

I don't want Bill to smoke and it's for incredibly selfish reasons.
(BEAR IN MIND: I'm a professional medical scientist, so this is Proper Science (tm))
IF Bill smokes, he runs the risk of damaging his throat. He works his throat and his voice extremely hard all the time and at 18, your vocal cords haven't even stopped developing yet. (They continue to grow and settle until about age 23-24) Smoking won't help and he probably wouldn't have needed surgery on the cyst if he wasn't a smoker (he might have still got it but it wouldn't have been as severe)
If he hurts his throat and ergo his voice beyond repair, there will be no more singing, no more Tokio Hotel. And I would miss them, because I don't think universal would employ him to lipsync the same 15 songs until he's thirty.
So that's my reasoning for not wanting Bill to smoke. Tom can do whatever the crap he wants. And Georg would look hot with liquorice rollies (which is what I smoke. See I'm not being moral. *has a beer*)

Aww bless you Razzle. They are completely fair points, but it's up to him to actually realise that he's causing himself more damage x

Personally i'm against smoking. Most of my friends smoke & to be honest they can do whatever they like coz it doesn't bother me & it's their choice.
