That sounds excellent ;D I'm just studying 'Japan' and that's my only limit as long as it's art-linked, so I think I'm going to look at it in terms of the change in fashion from before and after World War Two. I've got until Thursday to finish it, as it's my mock exam What sort of things did you do to research Japanese fashion?

I already know a load about Japan so it wasn't really that hard for me, I studied the changes in Fashion from the Kofun Period to the Edo period, which was Kimonos and traditional armor, then I compared that to the Fashion of today, Lolita, Harajuku, Street Style, Modern Kimonos, Office wear and day to day fashion.
If you need any help with history I can help with that too ;p

The older fashion was Kimonos, and just how they changed, the Japanese didn't really start getting 'out there' with fashion until the early 1900s. Kimonos are good to look at though as they symbolise so much, if you look at this website it'll help you understand the process; KimonosIt basically tells you how they changed and some facts, I'll try and dig up some more now.

Just took a brief look at that site - I didn't realise kimonos had so much history and that there are different styles and had a lot more to them. I just thought a kimono... Just is a kimono. XD

So many mysteries! I've given my sketchbook in today so that my teacher can check on my progress and then when I get it back, I'll use the kimono information- I have some plans for what I'll do ;D
