It took me three months to get the school skirt I wanted and it drove my mum nuts because I was so inistent that it had a bow on it. It's really irritating because I went into school with a hairband that had a giant bow on it and by the next week everyone was wearing bows. I tied a whole load of ribbons round my wrist and made a load of bows and suddenly everyone came in with bows round their wrists. >< ><
I like bows. ;D

Looking at Tom's latest blog, I've realised how many 'Steampunk' related things I own. This year I've discovered it as the sort of genre that I've always drawn/written about- I'd just never noticed there was a name for it So I was just thinking through what I own, trying to mentally build a steampunk costume in my head. From what I can find, I have goggles (<3), a safari hat (rather Vitorian), vintage gloves (black and white), two new fans, a belt suitable for the style, an old-styled waistcoat, 'pocket' compass, a monicle EDIT: And a cain ;D... I think that's it, but I shall aim to get a white shirt, neck tie, a better top-hat and shoes to complete a full steampunk costume. For those who aren't aware of the steampunk fashion, and that are mildly interested, it's sort of a science-fiction Victorian style. Perhaps old-fashioned people with modern technology or vice versa. A bit of an exaggeration on the Industrial Revolution. www.steampunkattire.com/ Here's a nice site with, well, steampunk attire. I think it's the alternative fashion that suits me and I'm suprised it took me so long to discover it
