Majority of the time they have a setlist. But still, WOOHOO someone actually agrees with me on something. There is NO real reason for Perez to get special treatment and have the setlist sent to him. Anyone could print out a setlist and make it look like the stupid photo he took.
Also, Perez hates Tokio Hotel just like Katy Perry does. Has he ever witnessed them live? I very much doubt it, and the fans there probably knew nothing about TH lipsyncing until Perez blabbed about it. People will go with whatever the freak says.

They are gettin abit of stick for this, And i'm sure they'd admit that they have mimed some performances. But as for MY opinion, Maybe a lil' nudge in the butt to encourage them not to mime would be great, EVERYONE loves live performances, and i believe they also enjoy it more as they feel more conected to the fans. However i feel the only reason they are "Allowed" to mime is... If bill is having problems with his throat and would rather mime than cancel the gig completly..
Jus my op.

Hel I agree with you, if he's having voice issues and doesn't have the heart to cancel, then fair enough in miming. It's not a massive deal. They could decide to not perform much...there are much worse things they could do.

Very true ma'love I just think they're doin' too much too fast. In america, they we're doin' a performance nearly EVERYDAY. It would've been so much "healthier" for them to spread the dates out and have time to relax, i jus think they're tryin to please everyone... They dont like to be a dissapointment. xx

BAH! I've just read this now and it's the first I've heard of it, but I do have to say I'm really disappointed It's all very american of them, and somewhat on the sell-outy side. It's getting pretty depressing how much they're sucking up america's collective a*se, and this is just the start of a slippery slope. We all know how amazing they sound live - why feel the need to mime? The fans pay for live music, they want live music (thankyouverymuch) not plastic Britney-esque b*llocks!!

I wonder if it has anything to do with all of the concerts and shows and stuff theyre doing cos of bills op??? i no it was a LOOOONG time ago now, but u no theyve done sooooo long on tour and a tour in america, maybe bill felt he needed to relieve some of the strain? it may not be cos he is 'developing another cyst' LOL - but maybe hes just taking precautions - and they are recording so rele his voice has to be as good as it can get for the audio - i dont blame him - im sure there was a perfectly ggod explanation..
and as for Perez flippin' hilton - hes jealous of THs fame and ability to have talent and show it - that fat talentless loser is an attention wh*re who needs to critisise other peoples performances in order to stay in the lime light -_-

Guys, the one thing we can be sure of - Tokio Hotel used playback for their performance and Perez Hilton does have a copy of the setlist. We can be sure of both of these things because a) people at the performance were discussing the fact that it was playback long before Perez wrote his blog. There is no doubt that it was the case. b) Anyone can get hold of a copy of the setlist at a gig - we got one in London last summer and they're generally taped to the stage. We also took a pic of it from the front row (before we got our hands on it.) Likely someone took a pic and sent it to Perez. His whole 'exclusive' thing is bull, he's just trying to make himself sound important.

I just don't like this whole 'All their preformances are playback they never do live!!!' thing. Their US concerts in October were most definitly not playback, and yet three little gigs that weren't even /their/ concerts and they start getting trashed left and right. Unessicary. Especially by the American media, that's all we seem to do here is criticise, the only part of the US music industry that isn't riddled with huffy whiny reporters and little girls is country music (where, when preformers use playback people pass it off as something that can happen once in a while).
The whole thing is a ridiculous uproar. The furthest it should have gone was a little slap on the wrist for TH. I feel like we corrupt everyone who comes here, and with the copious amounts of playback that go on here you have to wonder if it's really up to the bands or not... with some bands the managment has a lot of influence over wht they do.
We all know they can preform live, do preform live, and are completely unstoppable when they do. This wasn't even a tour for goodness sake, that would be a whole different story.
This will blow over soon, Perez will be left in the dust looking like an idiot, and no one will care.
