Perez Hilton posted a pathetic blog about Bill Lipsynching and that the band dont play live and its all recorded tracks perezhilton.com/He make me fume. *This has been confirmed as True. The past three performances - KIIS FM Jingle Ball All performances have been mimed and lipsynched. ** Newspapers have said all the gigs in America are lip synched, this is not true, its the past three gigs in December. Story Developing..

This is spreading like wildfire on the communities - I said to Susi: is it wrong that I think TH deserve it?? I really don't think TH should be miming ever at live shows. It's not only unfair to the fans that paid their ticket money, but it also without doubt opens them up to heaps of criticism from everyone, not only dickheads like Perez Hilton.

Claire But I dont see the proof? I mean if its true then I totally agree with you but looking at that setlist.. its exactly like all my other setlists I've aquired over the years It tells the band when to speak, when there's a pause and who is gonna talk

Because its an exclusive, its hard to use as proof because no-where else has got the same info. It's hard to know if he's just making it up or not. He even has a reason to make it up - trying to get back at all us fans being mad at him for the EMA thingy. Let's just hope it's not true *crosses fingers*

I actually believe it, because i was watching a vid on youtube of the gig a couple of nights ago in Pheonix, and i was thinking to myself that it really looked like he was lipsynching. Like his voice and the music sounded perfect.
Ive only ever noticed it on that one gig though, and i dont think it has been all of their US gigs.
EDIT: on that vid soubi just posted, have you noticed how close he is holding the mic to his face? probably trying to hide his mouth

I think it is probably true but the way he posted it is really pathetic. Putting band in quotation marks, stressing the exclusive-ness and how they always lip-synch... like every single time.
It's true, it's not fair on fans, they shouldn't do it, no musician ever should but it does happen. I think they deserve criticism for it like every other artist does but not something as pathetic put as idiots like Perez do it. Some things are just too harsh. Even though I might be agreeing with healthy criticism I also have to say that it's not the end of the world to me. There's lots of lip-synching going on in Germany, mostly on TV which again is not as bad as during live shows. However, I have to admit that I rather have them or better say Bill lip-sync every now and then than straining his voice. There were times when he lip-synched and then talked to the audience in between and really sounded rough... with talking alone... and I was glad he was actually not singing live. Of course that brings us back to they shouldn't perform that much and often if they can't do it etc and I would agree but with the demand they've got they probably figure it's best to at least appear and show their faces and perform with playback. We know they need to be present, especially while breaking the US though it's not clever putting their reputation on the line with getting slagged off for lip-synching (which has always been a rather big deal in America, I think). I'm not saying I agree with the way it's done because as Claire said, they open themselves up for a lot of criticism. But yeah, I also can't be mad at them for lip-synching right now. I think, I'm not making much sense.

On TV shows, then yeah, because without an audience no ones getting hurt by it, but infront of fans that pay a lot of money to see them perform its pretty shitty to be honest. I wouldn't enjoy a gig as much if I knew the artist was lipsynching to a CD. The atmosphere is lost and to be honest I see them loosing fans over this. Ofc Personally I dont care what they do as I will always be a loyal fan, I'm just disappointed in them for lying if this is true. I sound like a mother giving that dissapointed talk :')

^^ I agree, but we all know that Bill had surgery, yeah, a long time ago, but maybe his throat has been sore, so he wanted to give it a rest, but not let down his fans. Just a thought..

Guys - it is 100% that TH lipsynced the last 3 shows in the USA. Not only did fans notice that Bill was miming to a track, fans saw sponge cushions put on GUstav's drums to drown out the noise. Plus, it has been discussed a lot since those shows by the fans that paid to be there. It's generally accepted that they were miming.
Perez Hilton would never lie about something like that. It's one thing to mock them, but he wouldn't open himself up to being sued.
