Thanks Pat!
Ha Summer, I'm the same. ;D Every time I see a new post on here I don't want to open the thread but still have to but to be honest, those are the only posts and comments from fans I've read about this. I'm not reading anything anywhere else.
Yes, we know that they can play their own instruments and can pull off live shows. That's what makes it annoying that this thing got blown out of proportion saying they haven't played one single US concert live.
Well said about Jost, Liz. It's good to know that he's still around to fight their corner and stand up for them. ;D

Pat - I'm willing to forgive you if you post on your blog and here on this forum retracting the rude things you said here and here about the UK street team mods. In particular, I think you should apologise to Beckii for the things you said about her. Frankly, in the last few months, your behaviour on the forum has been less than stellar. You often post rude remarks to the mods and it's not something we will tolerate. You have every right to post in your blog as you see fit, however you have completely misrepresented what it was that I was asking for when I asked Amiee to refrain from rumour mongering about Perez Hilton, and when I asked you why you insisted on posting only to stir things up. In case it was not obvious, I was referring to these comments: jeez some people cant take jokes. and Jesus. Its crazy how seriously some people take themselves. Both were out of line. I don't feel good about what transpired in this thread and I feel it was only escalated by the things you said. However, an apology is an apology and it will be accepted if you post on your blog and apologise there as well. Thank you. Claire

Sorry if this has been said before, I haven't had a chance to go through the whole thread yet yet... but even if it is true (I haven't watched the footage yet) I don't think people should be so hard on Bill... I mean, it was only what, 7 months or so ago he had MAJOR surgery on his throat?? To be honest, I think if he was miming then it just means the poor guy is over worked but doesn't wanna let any fans down, so he's maybe resorted to miming a couple of shows to give his poor throat a rest. That's just my take on it. I've heard him live and he sure as heck didn't lip sync then! But if he has at these shows, I have enough faith in him to know that there would be a darn good reason behind it! Anyone agree? Mairi xx

Mairi I agree with you on your post, but if Bill was struggling that much shouldn't he have stopped for a few concerts.?
AND!!
how do we know this is Bill's Fault? Maybe Tom, Georg Or gustav had something wrong which forced them to lipsynch?
Just have a think "/

That's a good question, actually, Summer.
I think lipsynching is more of a vocal thing though, isn't it? That's why you automatically think the lead singer.

Okay so here are two examples: From the MTV EMAS in 2007 where Bill clearly isnt lip synching. you can hear he doesn't try and reach the high notes as he doesn't like doing them live. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6mKw8Yz9AKQSecond footage, listen to the music compared to the first clip, its off a CD all high notes are hit and Bill isn't concentrating on his voice, as you can see him interacting with the audience more. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0AcC8-VY4XcBecause those adds wont get annoying -_- Also to prove that the Setlist Perez posted proved nothing as most bands set lists are the same: Perez: Mine: The setlist shows the band when to speak, and what changes of instruments they needed to do. On these two, the line break tells them when to change instruments,

Ach yeah, I see what you mean Summer, but at the same time I'm thinking he probably didn't want to end such an amazing year for them by having to cancel, I think that would maybe have done more damage... not that it should, but some of the fans can be pretty tough... I remember the reaction when they had to cancel in march, some of them were so brutal! I know none of us would be like that *angelic grin* but there's alot of fans out there who aren't as understanding as us So I think he maybe just thought they'd better appear at least... Mairi xx

I don't know what's been discussed so far, but have Mr. Jost's words been taken into concideration?--------- "Manager slams Perez Hilton's attack on Bill
"Tokio Hotel aren't faking it!"
Tokio Hotel's manager has rubbished claims by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton that lead singer Bill has been faking his US tour concerts – and called him an "internet brat".
The spat comes after Hollywood gossip legend Perez Hilton labelled Bill Kaulitz and the band “pathetic” on his world famous blog for not playing and singing live during their recent concerts. But Tokio Hotel manager David Jost slammed the attacks as utter nonsense: "The band having been playing their butts off. And of course Bill sings live!"
Jost added jokingly: “Anyone who has been once to a Tokio Hotel concert knows that. But perhaps we can profit from rumours to the contrary. If anyone who hasn’t yet been to a Tokio Hotel concert and still doubts that they play live now takes the opportunity to buy a ticket for their next concert, then we might think about employing this internet brat [Perez Hilton] as a concert promoter.”
Whether celebrity guru Perez Hilton will take up this offer remains to be seen…

I, because I want to, belive David, but if they WERE lip-syncing, then I'm sure they'd have a reason for it- of which I'd agree with due to the fact that I could never disagree with them!

Who said TH had the choice to mime at their last three gigs? I reckon given the choice they'd have done it 100% live. So don't blast TH for something that they could have been forced to do.

Well yeah, but nobody had said playback which is what it sounds more like because it sounds exactly like the studio recording. So that means the instruments weren't live either. So there could've been something wrong with the others :/ It seems that everyone is jumping to blame Bill. Either way i could be wrong ...

It might not be the case, Summer, but I think you're right. It's playback so there could've been other reasons for it and it's worth to at least consider them even though it might seem more likely that it was about the voice.
My sister made me smile when I was home for Christmas. We were at my grandma's and in the background had the TV with one of those themed Chart Shows on (this time it was most successful songs of 2008 - Bleeding Love was # 1) and as always they had performances during the show. After an hour or so where we'd seen quite a few she suddenly just wondered "Hm, they all seem to perform live?!" I could only smile because she sounded so surprised.
Skye, I think that video was taken at the Phooson performance.
