So do you guys not support bands? I mean, if you dl illegally you're not supporting. If TH released a single, would you download it/buy it?

I'd definitely buy it.
I've bought all the german albums and bought RSG.
I couldn't illegally download them.
For any artist I like, I always buy the CD.

If not, i'd buy it from iTunes.
I don't have any downloading software anyway.

Well, yeah, if it was TH i definately would - i have their albums and all,
but me and my friends tend to search for random music that we haven't heard of, and then when it recomends other music, we listen to tht, so we get a wider variety and discover a lot more bands that way, bands that then we all love, and otherwise would never be heard of.

it's like the way not as many people buy CD's anymore, but there's so much more live shows because they're more in demand now?

if i really like a band/album i always buy the cd as i like having the artwork etc, but i would buy from itunes or play.com. if i need certain songs for gigs etc and cant get hold of them ill dl im a bad girlbut i have much much more physical music than anything else

but yer, i dont really support bands.
lol, actually i only support myself.
of course i support TH, and i buy their stuff!
but to date they are the only band iv supported.

i know it sounds rarther selfish, well it IS, but im pretty skint atm anyways. family debt, the usual. the only money i do save i usually give to the big issue, or a homeless person. (i have a thing about homeless people, it makes me want to cry).

to put it simply, but UK law i should be serving in Juvenile right now, not just for being a generally unsupportive old man.

honestly that man is f*cking GENIUS.
seriously, i was never into hiphop,rnb, etc.
but this man is just genius, his lyrics and videos and songs and stuff. his style. and the way hes not fake like the other artists, hes not scared to say what he thinks, he says it like that.
I actually credit him with more genius than bill,tom,gustav and george put together.
sorry lol, but he is simply genius.
so yeah, i would support kanye west and TH.
and any unsigned band that i reaalllyyy LOVE!

I'm buying CDs. I love CDs, like Princess said, I also love having the artwork and the whole package. When it comes to downloads I don't really know anything about it only that it's not too expensive to download music legally and that's good. I get that not everybody can afford to always buy CDs (they often are freaking expensive) but I don't support illegal downloads. Well ok, sharing the odd song with a friend or two, I admit to that but that's as far as I would go. I support bands I love to listen to as much as I can by buying CDs and often send them to my friends, e.g. I bought five copies of the latest Delays CD and I also did that when RSG was released last year.

Yeah, I bought sooooo many copies of RSG last year. I think I bought about 4 physical singles and then god knows how many times I downloaded it.

But, I don't do that for all bands. Of course not. I do sometimes illegally download music to try it. It's naughty, but it does enable me to find new bands. Would never have found TH otherwise. But, I find it being so detrimental to the music industry and I do worry about it. It's all very well looking at it from our own limited point of view, but it's killing certain types of bands who aren't signed to one of the big four and can't afford for their music to be distributed freely.

I guess that's one of the reason TH have so much merch - to make up for the illegal downloads they lose money on.

I download on the sly sometimes, and if I really like the music, I got out and buy it after.
I have all of TH's CD's.
I'll always buy there stuff and support them ^_^
