How about a few of the people who have been on the forum for longer, are appointed the role of like a person who greets new people?
Just like 5 people, and then when they see a new member has registered, they pm them and greet then to make them feel welcome?

I used to PM new people, but I stopped because I never used to get a response. I would definately be up for doing things to make new members feel welcome, it would be a great way of welcoming them into our family. |

Hehe I used to be the person who had to look after the new people I love new people, and I love helping people, so it was kinda perfect And yay for a plan Plans are always good |

Thought I'd comment as I'm quite new here I really like the introductions thread, because it showed me that the people here aren't that scary at all. Yeah, I was a little nervous about posting, but now it's not so bad cause everyone's been so nice! x |

The intro thread is great. that was my first post and now im hooked. i was scared to post for 2 days after i signed up mostly because of my age and kinda feeling that you youngsters wouldnt want to be "bothered" by an oldie...but i have thankfully discovered i was wrong....sooooo wrong and its great, so yeah something to help the new members to "come out" would be great....just cant think of anything right at the moment......
