Nothing has changed regarding your original comment. We don't condone violence here. And that is in general, not just in relation to this incident.
Sympathy for the twins, and what they have been going through does not change that. Although, of course, it has changed a lot of opinions on Tom's particular situation. If there was any act of aggression from Tom, in self defense, it isn't the same as lashing out in anger. We know that. But it doesn't mean we are suddenly going to say that violence is a good thing!
To laugh about something as serious as this, as though it is something to joke about, is not acceptable. Our hearts obviously go out to Tom and what he was faced with, but we still do not glorify any kind of violence here. And we certainly don't laugh about it, even if we can understand why it may ( I say 'may' as we still do not know the exact details ) have occured.
And frankly, I'm sure Tom wouldn't want that either. I'm pretty certain he doesn't find any of this funny at all!

exactly, completely agreeing with liz just because we have more infomation on WHY it may have happened it doesnt mean that its an excuse for the act of violence.

Jesus, that must be terrifying. I guess when they talk about always having wanted fame they didn't mean the stalkers that came with it! Echoing what Liz said, even though violence isn't acceptable, if it was in self defence there's a little more lee-way for understanding if he was scared for himself, family and friends. I hope those girls get what they deserve.

That, in my opinion, is laughing.
But I'm really not looking to argue with anyone here. This is a sensitive subject and emotions are high. Please understand, everyone, not just neonlights, that we, the staff, are human too! We have the same emotions as the rest of you and we love Tom as much as you all do! We're all upset by this.
It is never our intention to offend anyone. But we do have a job to do here, and that has to be done, regardless of whether it offends anyone or not.
Which is why we ask, with difficult issues like this, that everyone is sensible and thinks about what they are saying before posting.

When I first heard this story I thought it seemed very out of character (though how can I judge what's in or out of character when all I know is his public persona?) and I really wasn't sure what to believe. Now, after reading that article, I'm supportive of the boys dealing with these crazy stalkers and I truly feel for them but I cannot condone Tom's violence. On the other hand, if it was self defence (and that's what it seems like at the minute) and he was protecting the other passenger I think his actions were more justified. I'll just have to wait for a press release or comment from the managers/Tom until I decide properly.

*sigh* everywhere is picking up on it now, and jumping to unneeded conclusions: "Oops, they did it again! As you may remember us reporting last year, Tokio Hotel drummer Gustav Schäfer crashed his BMW into a tram - while he had two other people in his vehicle. It was later said that he was charged with bodily harm due to negligence.
Well, according to a number of blogs today, guitarist Tom Kaulitz is currently awaiting questioning by Hamburg police after hitting a girl in the face.
Tom, the twin brother of Tokio Hotel frontman Bill Kaulitz, was apparently filling up his car at a petrol station when a 21-year-old fan and four of her friends recognised him. The girls then tapped on the window of his vehicle to get his attention and an autograph, but instead of politely declining the guitarist responded by throwing a lit cigarette at them through his car window. The girl then picked up the cigarette and stubbed it out on his car, causing Kaulitz to have a "mini-rage" and hit the girl in the face, driving off before the police could arrive.
Violence is never the answer!!!" source: www.rocksound.tv/news/article/tokio-hotel-in-trouble-again
OT: I didn't know about the charge Gustav apparently got. /OT.

I'm shocked! these girls would do this to the guys harass them and there mama! im not surprised these girls could go down for this there awful people and from where im standing tom had every right to do what he did these girls have serious problems and tokio hotel shouldnt have to take the abuse that there giving them and bill and toms mama simone she must be feeling awful these girls has serious problems
EDIT: I dont think tom wil be charged these girls have done far worse come on attacking there house attacking there mother threatening and stalking them and if this girl was truely upset and hurt she would have only called an ambulence not the press too she and her friends were setting them up Poor tokio hotel Well good luck to them And its a human reaction if someones terrorising you and your family tom had a perfectly good reason to do it come on she stubbed a cigerette on his really expensive car.

Maybe he thought driving away, she would just follow him? Or like, you know when you do something without thinking about it? Maybe he did that. I dunno'. I've been thinking of my own theories all morning.

Same but i dont think tom will get much for punching her her and her crew will get a whole lot more for what they've done to the kaulitz' mother and what they've been doing to the band
