SO, I've discussed 1984 and others have discussed Twilight on this Forum, but I thought there should be a place for those discussions to meet. I've no idea whether there's already a thread on books, but I deemed it suitable. I was also listening to this uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Hv0azq9GF_g and thought "I should read that" and then I thought of the movie thread and that led to this. The rest is history.

I love reading so much My favourite books ever (so far) are The Wind On Fire trilogy by William Nicholson. Even though they're aimed at teens (i prefer adult boooks), i love them ^_^ My favourite author is Dean Koontz. I'm working on reading all his books, i've got through about 20 so far. Also, Torey Hayden's books are great. They're non-fiction about her work with children with special needs. I really need to get a bigger bookshelf as i don't have enough room for all of my books xD

Aha, books are awesome, and what a great idea to start this thread. Tbh, I'm a Harry Potter fangirl It's fun. But I also like stuff by Jonathon Stroud, like the Bartimaeus trilogy and also the Stravaganza series by Mary Hoffman. My favourite author apart from JK Rowling would have to be... John Green (Looking for alaska, an abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns). But mostly Harry Potter And John Green... Oh, they're both so awesome xx

I am a bit of a bookworm! I love the twilight series, a series of unfortunate events, the HP series (though some went on a bit), the pure dead series by debi gliori and the heartland series but my all time fave is the shopaholic series by sophie kinsella! (it comes out in cinemas next month!)

Oh bb this is my thread. I'm a booklover in the strongest sense.
I collect books, new, old, rare, I have it all. I have about 3,000 books with a third of them residing in my room. In the fall I will begin attending St. John's College, a prestigious college for only the most serious readers and writers. The whole curriculum is based on reading all the classics beginning with the ancient works and working up to the modern. I even learned Latin and next year will begin Ancient Greek so I can read the Classics in their original text (which they're incredible in omg).
My favourite author is Mercedes Lackey, the Magic's Pawn series blew my mind. I also love Maria V. Snyder, Clarie Delacroix, Tamora Pierce, Ellen Hopkins, Catullus, Sappho, Kate Forsyth, Lyndsay Sands, Virgil, and many others.
