Damn, I'm excited, lol. They've made Where The Wild Things Are into a film!
I dunno if any of you guys will recognize the title. It was my mum's favourite book when she was a child ( yeah, it's that old, lol ) and then became my favourite, and then my brother and sister's.
I am so going to see this. Books are always better than films, but maybe more kids will get to read the book now too Where The Wild Things Are

I'd like to go and see Coraline. I think my Gran offered an arrangement, so I'll have to look into confirming it

Pev, did you ever go see Coraline ? I did yesterday for my friend's party. IT WAS AWESOME.
I loved it so so so much.
And I'm going to see HP6 on the day it comes out which, incidentally is the day I get back from France. Me and my mum (=S) are going to dump my dad with the luggage and go to the cinema. ^^

He is indeed. The Nightmare Before Christmas is AMAZING. As is Beetlejuice. I first watched that at four and then again at thirteen and was appalled by the amount of swearing. My mum did tell me when I was four that I wasn't allowed to watch it cuz of the swearing but I didn't actually know ANY swear words.

I'm seeing it one Thursday And Tim Burton actually has nothing to do with Coraline. He produced The Nightmare Before Christmas, I think, but didn't direct it. EDIT: I saw Star Trek today ;D

That's right Pev.
People often make that mistake with The Nightmare Before Christmas, which was infact, directed by Henry Selick.

I saw it yesterday It was very good. Some said it was a bit slow in parts, but it was very good. It wasn't full up with 3Dness, but there were some interesting 3D angles, such as when she stood at the window... And I'm about to post in the Fashion thread, as I love the 3D glasses ;D

I watched a really sad film last night. It's not a new one, I think it was 2003 and it was called Soldier's Girl.
It's based on the true story of Calpernia Addams and Barry Winchell. Basically, Calpernia was a pre-op transgendered woman ( a man who was changing his sex to female to better suit how he feels inside ) who Barry met and fell in love with.
He was a soldier and his army buddies took to making fun of him and throwing gay insults at him. To cut a long story short, they eventually murdered him
To be honest, some of the acting could have been better, but I found the story itself heart-breaking.
