I really love ` Reden ` but I can`t really imagine that translated into english. That will sound pretty weird I think. i agree. i dont think it would work to be honest Amen! and i'd add "Beitche" to that

I thought the opening scentence/beginning of L E S was strange but I put it down to hearing the song for the first time.. I love it now
Don't Jump how could you not love it
Forgotten Childern, how could you not like it .. It rocks, I appreciate the song more having an understanding of the lyrics.
Its nice have songs in German, but if you have no idea what the lyrics are word for word your only getting half the experiance.
So they may sound better and it may be there original background .... but if you have no cluw what there saying, how can you understand the song fully
So English all the way.

^^ i understand what you'r sayin! some lyrics send shivers down my spine...but it's just a feeling of hearing something in a language that's like alien talk to you and somehow you still "get it". If they hadnt done the english album i still would have def looked for translations
i like all the songs in both their versions, to me it's not about choosing a fav just having more favourites! i might not like the words "don't jump" but it's the only way it could have been translated

Its not that I don't like the translated versions of songs, its just the emotion behind Bill's voice that has been lost that throws me off a bit. Hopefully that makes sense:s

See I speak no German...well...very basic - i'm still learning.
Do you all speak German when you are talking about the lyrics being more meaningful in German or is there straight out translations of the songs kicking about?
Personally I love the english, it means I can sing along with the hairbrush! I think it would be fun to learn the German, wouldn't have a clue what I was saying but it would be cool. I'd use it for the purpose of evil...speaking the lyrics to people and pretending i'm having some sort of intelligent conversation... -grins-

haha lol i think its feeling is different in scream but i love both versions anyway although i think freunde bliben would be a bit weird if they translated it into english :/ They wouldn´t be able to release Freunde bleiben in English if they did a 1:1 translation. Not without one of those nice parental guidance stickers anyway. ;D That´s what I always think when I listen to it. I might be wrong though.

I'll be honest, I've never heard the last two anyway, so hearing those in any language would be amazing.
Reden in english o.0
Weird until proven otherwise ^^

I love the English songs..and as the band say they tried really hard not to lose the meaning of them when they translated them and I bleieve they haven't lost any meaning! Monsoon's lyrics are so beautiful and he sings it like he means it! =] I love the English versions...so much easier to wail along too in the car ^^ ( My Mum likes Tokio Hotel too! ) Aneira xx
