I personally find all the masc. + fem. words easy. Theres a basic rule to remember to help; some of you may already know it, but if not..:
If the word ends in an "e", most of the time it's feminine.
If you remember that, then you only have to learn the exceptions
And the endings aren't that hard either, but that's just me. I also don't mind them in German either.
But, I reaaaaaally, really, really don't get German word order. I can do it when it's written down, but when I go to do it myself I'm just like "WHAT?!" and don't get it. Blah. I need to work on that before June... exam time... ohhh Jesus.

Aww German word order... yeah, that's... something. *lol* Believe me, it even is confusing for us Germans sometimes. I mean, I occasionally have to repeat a sentence to myself several times just to decide which one sounds better to me. Then I read things other people have written on the internet and really have to read a sentence a few times because I'm not sure if it's just me and being language-confused with the constant swapping between English and German or if it's really wrong. I can assure you there are lots of times where I think "No, no, that's not me... that is just wrong!" *lol* Sometimes it's really bad and I find it hard to believe how people cannot realise that it's not right. Fair enough if you do it while talking (let's just say that speed-talking Kaulitz twins are a prime example ) and I don't know any rules or anything but some things are just obviously wrong. Ha ha To be honest I'm not sure if I could learn it.

Oh, word order *sighs*... It's okay in German, but only really in basic sentences like "Ich mag Tokio Hotel" But then there's all the changing it around when adjectives come in "Ab und zu, mag ich Tokio Hotel" and then there's all the past tense and it all goes a bit crazy But I love German anyway!

I knowwww, dudes. I get so confused. Like, i never know if its like "Ich esse" or "esse ich" and just blahh.
its one way sometimes, and another way another and just ugh. the course doesn't explain it much either. ahhaha. so yeah. that is my major downfall.
that, and knowing when something is der, die or das. I have no idea. and then there's all the is it "mein" meine" meiner" or "meinem" etc. i can't get that either

Liek Jessikat said, i can understand it if it's written down, when I read German I just don't look at how the words are being put together, I just read everyword seperately and then look at their places to get the idea.
I'm getting better at word ordering, and also about stuff like der = den and ein (m) = einen.

I just started German in September and so far I find it so much easier than French. I find basic word order quite easy to remember (which probably means I'm wrong most of the time *LOL*) Our teacher just says as long as you remember the verb always comes second you'll mostly correct. Remembering der die and das is something else entirely though...
I'm also learning Spanish of my own accord.

See, I can remember the verb coming second, but when you have two verbs and the second goes to the end is when I get confused. And then there's whether the I/You/We etc. go first or second and all that shizz, soooo ja. Confusingggggg lol
Hahaha, Sarah, i'ma hold you to that

I LOVE languages (except Spanish -_-)
I'm fluent in English obviously, I grew up in the southern US which has a very distinct dialect compared to the rest of the US, with consious effort I can mask most of my accent but I tend to use phrases and words people not southern don't understand.
Also fluent in Latin. No it's not a dead language! Yes, it's speakable, I speak it with my teacher and my friends who know it as well, the only drawback with it is when you want to say something they don't have a word for, like 'television' or 'camera' you have to get creative, make up phrases to describe the object. If anyone wants to complain about confusing word orders try Latin poetry where the verb can come five lines after the noun and the adjetives for both be on the next page.
In college I am required to do Ancient Greek and French and will also do German. With a strong grasp of Latin, other languages are much easier to learn, some like French and Spanish are even vaugely translatable with only Latin knowledge.

Oh, I love latin. We did it for about 2 weeks once, when our school was having it's 50th anniversary, in French, and it's amazing.

oo, there's like different words that mean you have to kick the verb to the end, like wenn, wo, (when you say like, you can go to the cinema where you can see a film) weil and stuff
so, to sayI will visit my friend because we want to write a song would be
ich werde meine Freundin besuchen weil wir ein Lied schreiben wollen
if that's wrong, it means ym german teacher can't mark work properly
