Okay, here we go! Photos and details of the care package.
1) Fan photo book
The fan photo book was an epic project. We had over 150 ~accepted~ photographs. (In total we had over 300 photos submitted, but some people did not read the prompt!) It took Nash, Susi and I hours last Saturday night to put them in the book, and me many hours before that editing, resizing, printing and cutting the photos. The book looked awesome. The photos do not do it justice. I could not, for some reason, get a decent non-blurry/over exposed photo of the inside pages.
Here's some of the photos layed out on my floor:
Here is the completed book:
2) Sweets!
Gummi worms, of course, and then a few other bits, including peppermint tea:
3) Games!
These were cool.
* Chicken chucker (like a catapult gun thing that shoots plastic chickens)
* Decorate wooden spoons kit (someone here came up with this and it's awesome!)
* Erotic fridge poetry (to help with his English and with writing lyrics. Heh.)
4) Random things!
* Lyric book (it's cool, it has plastic pockets and everything. We popped a flyer for the UK gig into one of the plastic wallets to remind Bill of the UK, along with a badge that has a union jack on it with the TH super imposed over it. Oh and some other random things like a receipt from Tokyo, an air mail sticker, some craft leaves, a stamp, etc...for inspiration. LOL.)
* MAC lipgloss (it's yummy)
* Baby Jumbis (Hee!)
* Drum (more on that in a sec)
5) Clothes!
* Labyrinth t-shirt (We ordered a custom made Labyrinth t-shirt for Bill. It looks like it might be a bit small (who'd ever think a medium would be too small for Bill Kaulitz. LOL.), but it's v cool.)
* Hat (cute hat from Ben Sherman)
* Retro Boxers (they are super cool and yellow!)
6) TH Drum!
We were going to get Bill a bell so he could call someone to his aid if he needed anything, but we couldn't find one (I know, right?), so we have this alternative. It's a japanese style spinning drum. We painted the TH logo onto it.
7) Cue Cards!
Oh MY GOD. LOL. This took me soooooooooo long. Not kidding. The photoshopping, the printing, the laminating, the cutting, the gluing, the sticking. Just ARGH. We came up with so many ideas. In the end, Bill had 35 phrases on his cue cards. Awesome, but *flail*
8) Gummi Bears DVD!
EPIC EFFORT. Do you know how hard it is to find episodes of The Gummi Bears dubbed into German? They're not possible to buy on DVD, so I spent days looking for downloads. Didn't do too badly, managed to get around 22 episodes for Bill!
9) Finally - Instruction Manual!
For some reason (I'm sure there was a reasoning behind it at some point, but I can't remember it!) we decided to do a little instruction manual for the gifts. It was all in German and had a few jokes littered through it. It's pretty cool.
10) Letters and other paraphernalia
You know, the rest of the fan stuff for the box, including a letter from the UK street team and UK fans in general wishing Bill a speedy recovery, telling him a little about the UK fanbase and how we hope that one day he gets to know how awesome we are (heh) and that we want him to take as much time as necessary getting better as we will wait forever.
The end:
THANK YOU to everyone that took part in the 'making getting well fun' fan action. The book looked amazing and I'm sure Bill will love it. It was a brilliant project and it was great fun, if a little tiring!, to do.
A couple of people have asked me, so we will be putting all the photos that were sent in on our website when it launches (very soon!).
What do you think? Do you think Bill will like his care package? Eeeep!

Edit: The craft stuff, so you can see what we littered around the box!
