I just got this via a Myspace bulletin.
TOKIO HOTEL PARTY & SIGNING SESSION IN A EUROPEAN CITY!!!
We just received some pretty amazing news from Bill, Tom, Gustav & Georg! The guys announced that if they win one Video Music Award in Los Angeles this year then they’ll not only celebrate with their American fans at the VMAs....no, they will also organize a cool Tokio Hotel VMA fan party shortly after the VMAs in a European city (yes, the guys will be there too!!!) and Tokio Hotel will also do a HUGE signing session in that European city!
YOU guys can make this happen – all you need to do is click HERE, vote for Tokio Hotel in the category BEST NEW ARTIST and make them #1! Before you start the voting action you need to create a free MTV. com account – click HERE to register….

Clever! And an awesome idea to get fans voting. Who can blame them? It is an important award. At least it also means that they acknowledge their European fans, that a) they're voting just as much and b) they need those votes. That party should be amazing.
Obviously not everybody can make it and also I don't think they could have a party for everybody. Who knows if there would even be tickets on sale for this. They might do it by drawing names or something.
Did that bulletin come from the official band profile, Amiee?

Well, the competition is pretty immense. It would be arrogant to assume they could just make it without at least putting a bit effort into this so I'm glad they don't just take it for granted and show that they really want it, need the support and are not too good to ask for it... with a reward. He he. I was just asking if the bulletin came from the official profile because I wanted to know whether this party is something confirmed or just a rumour. Ha ha.

Hmmm this is very intresting. A European city : London perhaps ^0) Lmao they must realyyy want to win this then ! I honestly have no idea if they will or not :S Even if they did win, I wonder how they would choose the fans because obviosly not everbody would be able to go. I personly say they invite all us lot after all the work we do for them lol  |

This an official party - came from an Interscope bulletin.
Personally, I think it's a bit tacky. I get why they're doing it, but the smell of desperation sits awkwardly for me.
They probably caught wind of some of the European fans whining and refusing to vote, so now they're manipulating them into voting. And, of course, everyone knows it's likely to be Paris or Berlin/Hamburg. But, you know what, there's going to be DRAMA. If they choose France, everyong will go nuts. If they choose Germany, people will be moaning that their country never stood a chance anyway since Germany is their home. Etc.
And, of course, the Americans are having a sh*t fit already that the band are going to celebrate winning a VMA in Europe. And the Americans think it's only the European fans that are the unreasonable whiners. Yeah, right.
One thing I'm pretty sure of - it aint going to be London they choose.

I'm kinda starting to feel sorry for them lol. It doesn't matter what they do - there will always be a big drama. They actually can't win anymore, no matter what they do.
Anyway, I reckon this party should be in Germany. I know there will be moaning, but even so. It's where they come from, where it all began. They can justify that more than anywhere else, not that they should have too.
And LOL Claire - yeah, it ain't gonna be London! I'd put alot of money on that one hahahaha

You know what? Why don't they have a party in all the big major cities?
Such as...London for the British, Paris for the French fans and so on...But of course that aint gonna happen lol.
