This year is a very special year for UK fans - the MTV Europe Music Awards are being held in this country! Yes, I know, with all the touring Tokio Hotel have done this year, you've probably all seen them live, but over here in the UK we're experiencing a drought. It's over a year since Tokio Hotel were last in the UK and as far as we can tell the only chance this year that we have is the MTV EMAs.
This year, MTV is giving some lucky fans the opportunity to be part of something really special - the Fanwalk. Music fans from all over Europe can participate and they will have to walk the incredible 400 kilometers (250 miles) from London to Liverpool. Crazy, huh?
Well, the UK Street Team's very own moderator and activist, Liz (aka Lauren), is our representative. This is not about walking. Oh, no. This is about Tokio Hotel. Liz is going to do the walk wearing all her Tokio Hotel gear. She's going to carry a Tokio Hotel banner. And at every opportunity, through the MTV interviews and video diaries, she's going to talk about Tokio Hotel.
She is, in a word, going to make sure that Tokio Hotel is fully represented at this major MTV fan event in Europe.
You may remember Liz. She endured a 10 day silence with Bill when he had his operation and in the process raised money for the UK Street Team meet-up, allowing us to have a fantastic day watching the live DVD. She is a committed fan and will not let us down.

For UK fans, this is such an opportunity. We want TH in the media. We want MTV writing about Tokio Hotel in the UK! It's our only hope this year. (At least, that's how it feels at the moment!)
For European fans - we need your support! We want to see TH at the MTV Europe Music Awards. We know you'll be coming over, lending your support on the red carpet, so we want to see you joining in with the UK Street Team. We have loads of FUN planned for November, so if you're flying over to celebrate the band's return to this continent, join in our fun. Start by supporting Liz on her quest to make the MTV Fanwalk all about Tokio Hotel. And keep up with our updates because we're going to need voluteers for some spectacular promotional stunts in Liverpool!
For everyone else that's far away - this is a great opportunity to get Tokio Hotel media exposure that they just don't get. Why is the media so hard to crack over here?
