IMPORTANT: Fake Bill arrested

This is something that I think everyone NEEDS to read. I know everyone here is very sensible, but it's easy to get caught up in someone's lies.

An 18 year old French boy has been arrested after posing as Bill in chat rooms. He has befriended young women aged between 11-17 and got them to send him sexually explicit and nude photographs of themselves. He then posted these around the internet.

DO NOT believe anyone when they say that they are Bill or Tom or Georg or Gustav. PLEASE. This is vitally important and I implore everyone to speak to their friends and post this news item on their blogs. I have posted on the street team sites before about fakes and I have been concerned many times about the things I've heard regarding fake profiles, but now this has become a criminal matter and people need to be very careful.

It IS. And I'm worried it's the same guy I was told about a while ago that was pretending to be Bill and asking girls to send him photos. I put out loads of messages about it, so I did all I could, but it creeps me out a bit. I wish people would listen.

Yeah, Whoever does this sort of thing (LOADS OF POSERS) should be arrested for making Tokio Hotel look bad and it's disgusting and wrong.

I'm really glad this guy has actually been arrested and it's being taken seriously, because so many people get away with so much stuff on the internet.

I really don't get sick people like this. And I wish the fans would have a bit more savvy to. The guys have said over and over again that they don't have contact with fans privately online.

Still, I guess some people are just really convincing. Once again, I'm glad he's been nicked!

Im not going to write my exact thoughts when i read that, id end up with a lifetime ban
but i will say now you can see why i was so concerned about being here and other TH related places because of my age. people like that idiot make things so much harder for people like me to not only admit that we are fans but also to intigrate with younger fans

he should be dealt with hard and made an example of. hopefully that the police are taking this so seriously SHOULD deter other simpletons from trying the same thing. unfortunately i dont think it will

Its ridiculous (SP?) how some are so sick they would pretend to be somebody famous just so they can get a kick out of their gross fetishes (SP?) and this is just another classic example of why we should listen when people say you are not totally safe on the internet, if not at all.

Secondly.. The girls who sent the pictures disgust me. Your sending nudies to him. Have you spoke to him on the phone? Met this “Bill Kaulitz”? I know many people may think It’s not the fault of the girls, but we’ve all been young, an don’t tell me you don’t remember having the COMMON sense not to post nude pictures to a “Bill Kaulitz” or even an 18 year old? You HAVENT EVEN MET HIM! You don’t know he’s real! Bill Kaulitz had said himself many times, he doesn’t have private online chats or similar.

I know I seem very harsh but its disgusting to me that the girls would even send nude pictures to someone they met online. Bill doesn’t even speak fluent French, an that guy was most likely using French in the chat rooms. He was in France after all.
