im glad he got arrested. i dunno why or how some one could do that in the first place

I agree with Romana... it's a vile and despicable thing to do, but I'm amazed that so many girls fell for it! How could they possibly believe it was actually Bill, I mean, how could he prove such a thing? Saying that, I'm glad this perv was arrested, although it's chilling to think how many more like him could be out there doing exactly the same thing uncaught.

that is just sick  i never minded fakes before, its not as if they did any harm. this has scared me a little, since my brother and sister have just started using social sites, i know that should any fakes try the same thing with them, they'd be naive enough to believe them. *suddenly has an urge to lock my siblings up so they shall never be exposed to the big bad world* |

that is just sick i never minded fakes before, its not as if they did any harm. this has scared me a little, since my brother and sister have just started using social sites, i know that should any fakes try the same thing with them, they'd be naive enough to believe them. *suddenly has an urge to lock my siblings up so they shall never be exposed to the big bad world* i agree one of my lil cousins have been introduced to social sites also and i'm scared incase he thinks he's talking to a fake pretending he's captain jack sparrow *Johnny Depp* and i feel so so sorry for them girls i mean some social sites such as myspace and anything else *Except this awesome forum* should check to see if its a faker and automatically ban them from the site so then they dont get anyone into trouble such as for example: pedo pretending to be tom and then asking girls for pics it really does sicken me now and i mean i've even caught myself into a scandal with my friend thinking we knew the real dylan sprouse and ending up both in trouble and we reported the person who was faking too... So i'm now being responsible and not listening to any posers thinking they are any member of TH!!! |

People want so badly to believe they might actually be in contact with Bill or Tom .. or any other celeb they love for that matter. It makes it very easy for the 'fakers' to con them.
It's important for everyone to remind themselves of just how unlikely it is, and to not be taken in. And, yes, like you said - report anyone who is trying to scam you!

I cant remember where i saw it (prob on an ep of TH TV as i watch it religiously) but i saw an interview where Bill specifically says he does not get time to go on fansites to chat so to ignore anyone who claims to be him because its definetely not.
It would be worth posting a link to this interview on here somewhere (like in a main place where all STs could read it) to try and avoid more of this happening..

Yeah, I think he's said it on quite a few interviews because interviewers seem to often ask celebs whether they use social networking sites
