Whats the difference between bass guitar an normal electric guitar? A bass guitar has only 4 strings, whereas a normal electric one has 6 and sometimes 12. And don't worry if you suck at the violin for a few months - it took me a few years to even be able to make any kind of good sound out of it. And about the bow story - o.O You must have had such a sucky bow. Mine never broke in the 3 years or so that I had mine. Which reminds me - I have no idea where I left it... *goes off to search for violin*

can someone teach me violin? Cos I'm cwap. Don't worry!! I still am and I've been playing for the past seven years! And I've made it to Grade 5! Maybe just go for a few proper lessons with a teacher and all to just learn the basics (bow hold, hand position, where to put fingers for certain notes)?

help?

TM (TokioMayhem) it was difficult to get taught because the teacher was so hot. But then I got over that and even now considering I have been playing for almost 5 years (since I was 11) I still find it difficult.

I play the flute. I have done for almsot 6 years. I would like to play the guitar. Infact, I DID start to learn it on my oldest brothers old guitar, but now he's decided to take both the electric guitars to Leeds with him :-\ and my other brother won't let me touch his bass, even when the one he's building is finsihed
