MTV EMAs - VOTE NOW!

This is a vvv important project, so I'm posting it here.

Voting has begun!

Tokio Hotel are nominated in 2 categories for this year's MTV EMAs. They are Band and Inter Act. It's wonderful for them to be nominated, so now we must ensure that they win!

I have been told that MTV officials have assured that the winners will be decided by online voting only. There is no jury. Our votes are the only ones that count!

It's really important that as a street team we work hard to get these awards won for TH! As UK fans it's even more important as it will give them some well needed exposure in the English speaking market.

The Echelon would beat me to a bloody pulp for posting this, but seeing as how they're fighting with fire, why can't we also fight with fire? I've been snooping around and I've found out a useful trick for those of you who're inclined to vote, vote, vote!

Now all you have to do is open the EMA website (we'll use The Rest of the World as an example) and once you have loaded the page, right-click on it and you'll see a menu pop up for the flash player that is embeded on the website. Click on "Settings" and another box will pop up entitled "Adobe Flash Player Settings". You'll see this box asking you whether or not you want to allow ema.mtv.co.uk to access your webcam and blah, blah, blah. That bit is unimportant. What you need to do is click on the icon of the folder along the bottom of the box (it's a folder with a green arrow pointing into it). This will bring up another tab on the "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box which will say something like: "How much information can ema.mtv.co.uk store on your computer?" The answer to that is none. See how you can slide that arrow across the bar in either direction? Slide it all the way to the left until it says "None" and then tick the box which says "Never Ask Again".

What this does is disable flash storage on your computer so that the website can't store information in your cache. This also enables you to vote, vote, vote and then refresh the page and continue voting without having to wait 10 minutes in between as you previously would have had to have done.

If you're voting for the boys on other websites, you'll have to do this for each country.

So... go forth and vote! We may not be able to beat the Echelon (believe me, they're kind of scary ;P), but we can at least try our hardest, ne?
