lol Tomi!! that was so confusing! was it the beginning of the song? cos it souded like that was what Tom was playing but when you hear Bill coming in, he singing the bridge??!? yeah mistakes happen and it's good that they got back on track but i also like when the other band members start laughing and point out who made a mistake and they re-start the song again some people think that's not really professional but i like it! it's funny ;D
hmm, i can just imagine it too one of those moments like in the Zimmer 483 documentary!haha '...the ONE time I mess up! -.- '

Bless. They must've felt so annoyed and frustrated with that happening. Just thinking about how nervous they are before shows, panicking how something major could go wrong. E.g. on the Zimmer live documentary when Tom goes on about how the last concert went so well so the next one would be terrible and he tries to reassure himself going "DANN.BIN.ICH.ZUFRIEDEN!". That's one of my favourite parts. I bet they felt aweful after what happened with Vergessene Kinder. Ah well, sh*t happens. ;D I wish they could laugh about it one day. They're only human. I could really imagine that that was why Bill stormed off, Claire.
I also love it when something goes wrong and the bands just make a joke out of it, e.g. when Fightstar's drummer started the wrong song once they all stopped and Charlie really mocked him, getting the crowd to applaud for him or Brigade when a guitar string needed replacing after half the song and Will said "Yeah guys, the merch stand's over there... why not check it out?". *lol* Stuff like that can happen to anyone, no matter after how many years and live shows, silverchair's Ben broke the pedal of his drums last I saw them live and Die Ärzte... Bela missed his cue and reverted to some kind of coughing rather than singing. They all laughed about it and started again and put the live recording as one of their b-sides. *ha ha* Shame TH can't joke about it during their shows. I'd like that.

Yeah, I really think it's better to acknowledge and mock the mistakes. The trouble with 'playing on' is that people start thinking they're hiding something. Glossing over something. That's why all the articles are coming out now about Bill miming, or them using some kind of playback.
I relistened and rewatched a few times, and a tape of VK definitely kicks in. Who knows why it was there or why it got turned on, but the whole show was live aside from that. Shame it had to sully the only German concert this year.

Yeah there is definitely a tape.
By the looks of things Bill is trying to sing in the right place but his mic is turned off or something?
Cause then you hear the
"Beim ersten Schrei erfroren Vergessene Kinder Name unbekannt Endlos weggerant Aus der Welt verbannt Vergessene Kinder " a second time round
EDIT: It was like they doubled up the chorus because that tape messed it up. I keep editing as I keep watching back, but I'ma shut up now lol.
If that tape wasn't supposed to be turned on, I bet Bill would have loved to give the person who did a kick in the shins.

I can imagine there was a huge tantrum after the show. You can see Tom looking a bit confused as well when he's playing - he raises his head in confusion. It must be one of those 'what to do, what to do' moments. Poor guys. I just hope that the intention wasn't playback...that would be, imo, unforgivable (even though I know I'm in a minority on that).

I liked it at the Fanmeet when Nash said "Let's all sing Ready Set Go" and then started to sing don't jump. We mocked her then.

Aww dear, that kinda made me cringe for them. Poor Tom, he was like - wtf?
I definately think it's better to acknowledge a mistake and make some joke about it. I remember a big Duran Duran gig in Birmingham I was at - same sort of thing, only show in their home town - and Simon got the words wrong! He stopped and said "Well, I may have forgotten the words but you lot haven't have you?" LOL. It was funny and he just started again.
I bet Bill had a right hissy. Shame what they said about In Die Nacht. If I'd been there I think that would have bothered me more than the mistake!

I also love it when something goes wrong and the bands just make a joke out of it, e.g. when Fightstar's drummer started the wrong song once they all stopped and Charlie really mocked him, getting the crowd to applaud for him that's exactly the example i was referring to! XD it was probably just the backing tape for additional vocals and instruments which someone screwd up badly oh yeah the sing along!lol the thing is that everyone just went along with it and we skipped a good chunk of the song and only realised at the end cos the song seemed shorter than usual

I suppose they only brought the playback in because at the time that was the only thing that everyone of the guys could actually hear. So it was played to get them back on track, to get them to play/sing the same part.
Bless Nash. I can never remember any words. And that's a good point Simon made there, Liz. As long as the fans know the lyrics... *lol* There's a live recording of Brandon Boyd singing "My Girl" at some Incubus concert and he forgot the second verse so he just kept on singing "I have no idea what the words are right here, so I just keep on singing a bit more". ;D
I'd like to hear the guys say something about it at one point, e.g. the next backstage documentary. That reminds me so much of when they all made fun of Bill for messing up in Paris because he had problems with his in-ear-monitoring. ;D
