Okay. So I got this idea from a book I have. Basically Eveyone posts a lateral thinking puzzle (I will give an example in a min ) or a riddle. Then the next person answers it and posts their own puzzle/riddle. If someone has tried to answer your puzzle/riddle and got it wrong or can't think of an answer then please edit your post and add the answer. That way we won't end up with loads of un-answered puzzles =] I'll start with a nice easy puzzle: Five pieces of coal, a carrot, and a scarf are lying on the lawn. Nobody put them on the lawn, but there is a perfetly logical reason for them being there. What is it?

Somebody built a snowman, but now the snowman has melted and left behind the five pieces of coal, the carrot and the scarf? --- Hmm, okay how about this one - How could a baby fall out of a twenty-story building onto the ground and live?

(Correct Rhi!)
The man is a dwarf. He is too short to reach the button of the floor he lives on so he presses the higest button he can and walks up the stairs of the other floors.
---
A man is lying dead in a phone box. The phone handset is swinging. Two of the windows are broken. He was not murdered. How did he die?
ANSWER: The man was a fisherman. He was describing to a friend, who was on the other end of the phone, the size of a fish he caught. In his enthusiasm, he put his hands through the windows, and accidently slit his wrists and killed himself.

Why is it better to have round manhole covers than square ones?

Is it because square manholes can be turned in such a way as to fall into the hole. A circle is the same diameter no matter which way you turn it?
At a crime seen a man was hung. It seemed he did it to himself but there was no furniture there, all there were, was a puddle of water. How did he do it?

Hehe, I love these!
OK, my first is in Time, but never in Space. My last is in Win, but it isn't in Race. Begining or end, makes no difference, For both are the same with no others inbetween. You think of me first and I give you no lie, When you answer this riddle, say who I am.
