Hey guys, I just sent this to someone and I think it would benefit everyone if it was posted in a new thread so everyone can see. I want you to read this and take note as the mods and I will be deleting any organisation threads for meet-ups that do not come through us officially.
I realise everyone is on a great high from yesterday as it was such a huge and amazing day, but meet-ups are insane amounts of work and yesterday was not easy to put together. I know it seemed like a breeze for most of you, but the high standard of the meet-up was because I organise events professionally!
We do however want to have mini meet-ups going on all the time and since there is now lots of interest we will be working on this some more in the near future. I just ask that you respect our wishes and understand where I'm coming from:
Hey,
It's up to you how you want to do it, but quite some time ago myself and the mods decided that we will have mini meet-ups if there was enough interest. There wasn't a massive amount of interest at the time, so we decided that when our website was up and running, we would start working on that.
The situation now is that if you want to volunteer to run mini meet-ups in your area, when this is up and running, we will support you, help you and ensure it's of a standard that we uphold on the UK street team.
You can organise meet-ups without us, but anything that is not through us cannot be organised on the forum. And it cannot be an official UK street team meet-up.
Be patient! We've only just had a major meet-up and the mods and I will be organising new and cool stuff all the time. And we will work on rolling out the mini meet-ups as soon as we can, but just understand that our street team reputation is very important to us and we put a great deal of time and effort into our meet-ups and want to ensure that anything associated with the street team is of the standard that we maintain and is expected of us.
Claire xx
