Okay, a new way of answering your questions! More and more of late, I have been getting large volumes of messages that are often the same question repeatedly. So I thought I'd introduce this FAQ, and I'll update it every time I get a question asked over and over again.
I do not want to ignore your questions. I never have and have always tried to help as much as I can, but the questions are so often the same and could be easily resolved by just taking a moment to look.
1) Can I get Tokio Hotel merchandise to the USA?
This can now also be ordered from www.deutschrock.de. After all the messages I got from fans in the USA, I checked for you. Please follow the previous instructions and use 'Vereinigte Staaten' as your country to complete your order.
2) How much is shipping to 'insert country'?
I do not know the cost of shipping for individual countries except the UK (12euros). You will have to investigate that yourself by trying to checkout an item.
3) How did the UK street team become official?/How do I make my street team/fansite official?
The short answer is: I don't know.
I was asked to set-up the UK street team by Tokio Hotel's UK record label. How you would go about making your street team official in your country, I have no idea. The best advice I can give you is contact Universal in your country, but they may well not answer you. Be prepared for that likelihood.
However, you don't need to be 'official' to do great street team work. The band always needs fan support and are very grateful for voting, emailing and fan actions.
No I can't give you any contact details of anyone. Please do not ask.
If you have a fansite, you can apply to be an official fanclub through the German fanclub.
4) Do you know the band?
No, I do not know the band personally. I'm just another cog in the VERY large Tokio Hotel machine.
5) How do I get front row/backstage passes?
There's no sure fire way of getting on the front row. Your best bet is to begin queuing as early as you can for a show.
Meet and greets backstage with the band are usually made possible through winning competitions, so make sure you enter any in your country.
6) When will Tokio Hotel come to the UK?/Will the UK be on the new tour?
I have no idea, I'm afraid. Believe me, if I knew, I would tell you. If you want my opinion - no, the UK won't be a date on the new European tour. But, I have no official information about that and am basing it on a bit of insider info and a bit of guesswork.
7) When will Tokio Hotel come to 'insert your country'?
Again, I have no idea. I have no insight into these things and will update you as soon as the information becomes public.
8) Is this Bill/Tom/Georg/Gustav's personal Myspace/MSN/Skype, or is it a ~faker~?
Probably, it's FAKE. All the members of the band have said repeatedly that they do not have time for being online and online profiles. Why don't you believe them? (Okay, sometimes they lie a little , but not very often!) Tokio Hotel communicate to their fans, en masse, through their official sites. These online sites are run on their behalf by people that work for them. They do not log on and update themselves. Do not indulge those that are trying to convince you otherwise.
9) Does Bill or Tom have a girlfriend?
I do not know. They say no, so lets accept their word and leave it at that. The blond chick that all the rumours are circling about is their make-up artist (apparently) and that's all I know. Even this is idle gossip that I don't usually engage in.
10) I heard that Bill said that he's gay on TV/in an interview/on the website/at his birthday party, is it true?
I hate this question, it's been going on forever, so lets leave it be now. The French and German media were undoubtedly rude putting Bill on the spot - he's only 18! No matter the truth, he shouldn't have to answer questions like that. Speculate by all means in private -it's natural - but lets keep it away from public eyes as much as possible.
Bill has said in interviews that he is not gay. Please accept that and not push him into a situation where he has to speak about it in public again.
And don't ask me!!
