FAN MEET-UP - PLEASE READ

Okay, so I know you're all expecting full itinerary details for the meet-up, but I'm at a place right now where I can't quite give that. We do not have enough money to watch the DVD at the moment (we still need just under £50) and we're only 3 weeks away from the fan meet-up. (Pls. check the updated donations thread for details.)

Furthermore, we have more confirmed attendees than the capacity of the venue I booked.

I have searched for weeks for an alternative venue that can accommodate us and fall into the budget that we have, but I can't find anything. If anyone has any ideas, they are more than welcome. I have kept the booking for the venue we currently have because I figure that some people can sit on the floor maybe, but if we get many more sign-ups it will be a health and safety issue.

Regardless of that, if we do not hit our target contribution, we cannot AFFORD to even have that venue.

Therefore, I have to ask you, if you are intending to come to the fan meet-up, please contribute. You have until Friday 11th April to do so. At that point, if we do not have enough money, everyone will be refunded and we will not be watching the DVD on the 26th April.

Thanks for understanding. I will be working on the fan meet-up from now on almost permanently, so expect more and more information in the coming days.

-I also offer to raise money to help with the meet-up as quickly as I can this week. No matter what school calls to me.

-I want this meet-up to happen, and I want it to be the best. So i'll be working hard for mine, and everyone elses wish to work!

I realise that we need to collaborate and work together in some way to catch our target, to get where we have been aiming for.

Kim - thank you so much. Essentially, I really need help with the venue. I'm pulling my hair out with what to do about that. I'm sorry I made it look a bit bleak, I was feeling a bit tired as I'd been madly googling for about 3 hours for a new venue. I'll PM you about what I want to do and maybe we can work on that together.

Money - Liz has PMd me to say that the money that she has raised for her sponsored silence will go a long way to cover the money that we are missing, so I just encourage people to donate as much as they are able.

The meet-up will happen, I just want everyone to know that the logistics of the meet-up this time are going to be difficult. We have probably double the number we did in November.

So I'm doing my best, but if certain things don't happen, I just don't want people to be too disappointed.

i shall get £5 of them each (if i can) meaning £20 in total plus the £10, so thats £30!

Claire, You must hear me rant on to all my friends about this.
I've been ringing companies and London info centres up.

I've found a place, it looks nice, and it holds 360Max.
I will ring the number though, they never put the darn prices tagged on.
Haha, They listen to me speak on the phone and they're like:
"WTF? A fourteen year old ringing for a venue?"

I've been searching for 2hours now, believe it or not. I don't know why I'm trying to hard, theres more people here dedicated to the MU than me! But ... I feel I should do something, even with school, homework.

If places I've found over the net aren't good enough, I will definately go to London
(on my own, without annoying TH-hater bestfriends)
and I will go find places in person.

I don't want to show you the place before I find out stuff, I don't want to look stupid, although 'Megin' said she liked it, and it's pretty suitable (with lighting and sound). -Trust me to add her in this^^

I hope the cost will be good and not too pricey!

Okay, ladies and gents - CRISIS OVER.

I have successfully found a venue within financial reach and the best thing is it's in the area I want it in and the capacity is MASSIVE. So we can have as many people as we want - in fact the more the merrier!! (I was starting to worry that I'd have to restrict it.)

Keep donating if you can! Although Liz's extra money will cover a lot of it, we still need as much as possible as this new place requires a deposit over and above the fee!
