The GBLT [LOL BLT] got me thinking about all my best loved books and stuff so I ...made this, quite simply XD
What are your favourite and best loved books everrrrr. =]
My all time favs
The Horse Whisperer- not light reading for a 12 year old, but d**n do I love it to this very day. Passionate, heartbreaking and gorgeouuuussss. Has so many inspiring themes. Definitely recommed.
Harry Potter. XD Cmon, it's a classic now. We all love bespectacled nerds who turn out to be horny heroes.
Darren Shan series- He is an AMAZING horror writer. Anyone who loves vampire stuff or gore should check him out.
Georgia Nicoleson books- They are just LOL funny. I can't read them in public [ LOL I PUT PUBIC XD] places for fear off bursting into random fits of uncontrollable laughter. On a plane it can get embarrassing......XD;
Girl, 15, charming but insane- Seriously funny romantic comedy of a girl struggling with her insecurities and popularity whilst trying to find the man of her dreams. VERY embarrassing situations you just have to lol at. Very mushy and happy ending. =]
Girl 16, pants on fire- Just as funny [if not more] so than the first one. Her dad turns out to be gay and she has to introduce her boyfriend to him and meet her dads bf. It is totally hilarious. Cross dressing included. XD
The thief lord- I have just always loved this book. Something about the amazing venetian descriptions and general story always touches me. Plus the morals of it are amazing.
Aaaaaaaand....i will shut up now....No doubt I will think of more XDD

Vampire beach is good also, if you're into vampires but in a more modern sense. It's americanised and funky, but still quite dark and sexy. =]

Absolutely gotta agree with you on the Horse Whisperer Kiah. Frigging amazing book. Also I reccomend The Loop by the same author ( Nicholas Evans ).
Again I strongly reccomend that anyone read the Boudica books by Manda Scott. Possibly the best series of books I have ever read.
But my strongest reccomendation is for The Cosmic Banditos, by AC Weisbecker. You HAVE to read this book. It is the funniest, most absurd and totally entertaining book I have ever read in my life. I`ve lost count of the times I`ve read it, and it`s been permanently in my bag for years. ;D

This is tough, because most of my favourite books aren't fiction, but
Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice--I adore this book. I usually have a paperback copy of it in my bag; it's kind of like a security blanket. If I'm unhappy, I just start rereading it, and somehow it always seems to help.
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, by Hunter S. Thompson. I love his writing, and I'm going to be focusing on him for my dissertation. <33
Also, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, which is about the 1972 primaries/elections in the United States. It's a fantastic read because it's told from the perspective of someone who was a complete outsider. Thompson was working for Rolling Stone, then only a fledgling music magazine, when he decided he wanted to write about politics. It was originally published every week in a series of columns, which allowed his coverage to be very timely, and also timeless because he wrote about the candidates with both an honesty and a lack of reverence never seen since in American political journalism. When I picked the book up I had ZERO interest in the 1972 elections, but spent the entire book absolutely riveted.
Arthur Rimbaud's "A Season in Hell" and "The Drunken Boat". I think he was the first truly modern teenage voice in literature, and his poetry is still so shocking, so vivid and powerful after all these years. I fell in love with him before I'd even finished the first page: "Once, if I remember well, my life was a feast where all hearts opened and all wines flowed". If you don't read French, the Louise Varese translation is excellent.

I love Fear and Loathing ... I`ve read a couple of his books. Very funny. I also like On the Road by Jack Kerouac - similar - ish kinda thing.
If you like Fear and Loathing then you`ll definately enjoy The Cosmic Banditos ;D

My favorite books are:
Poirot Series by Agatha Christie. I love the round little Belgian XD (Apart from the book Clocks, that was TERRIBLE) Grey Walker by Kat Richardson. Brilliant Urban Mystery - crime and fantasy were never a better combo! Light of the Oracle by Victoria Hanley - A children's book, but I love it.
And I also like Harry Potter, but the last book was a bit zzz...

I read the Darren Shan books XD I ADORED them.
Here's my books then.
Heart Shaped Box - Sounds funny when you hear its about a guy who buys a ghost on the internet but its damn creepy and so well written. Its quite modern too, mentioning My Chemical Romance and other rock bands. There's a twist at the end which I really didn't expect.
Angels and Demons and Da Vinci Code - I'm sure a lot of you have read those XD I prefer Angels and Demons though, cause its got a better plotline, plus I'm more into creepy cults rather than religion.
Jacquelin Wilson books - Yeah, I know, weird for me to read but they were good when I was a kid =P I liked the one with the woman and all her tattoos. Illustrated Mum I think it was called.
Kraig-x

Kraig, that book is called 'The Illustrated Mum'. I've read it too, and i liked it ^_^ Jacquelin Wilson's a really good writer. i think it's odd how she can relate to her teenage readers, even though she's a lot older..no dissrespect to her there, like.. but you get me, right?
