I don't have a clue what i wanna do when i grow up :/ We have to pick our options after Xmas for Year 10, and i kinda don't have a clue what to pick :/
I'd like to do something with languages + where you get to travel places ;D Or just Mrs Kaulitz I remember picking last year. It was hell. I got the booklet on Monday and I had to choose by Monday. I was so annoyed because they kept banging on about how important it was to choose correctly but they didn't even give us enough time. I chose a wide range of stuff that interested me When I do work experiance in year 11 it might help me with careers. I hope to study abroad in Germany because I feel that I could take my languages far, and if not it would be a brilliant experiance just to be able to speak it.

I really wanna go into either comercial or criminal law as a barrister! But I really wanna do European law beacause being a barrister is a dieing art in the UK...
Ive pretty much picked what Im doing next year!
On year 10 options, our school has this rule where what you chose has to follow certain guidlines plus we have to chose early next year (year 9!): Maths English At least 2 Sciences " " 1 other language & " " 3 other subjects

we had to do either german or french because we are a language college and then we had to do the compulsary subjects including science, we choose which type like double award or what i year 11 I htink, or it's what I'm doing now which is the average one. And we had hours to fill up. Full GCSEs generally take up 2 hours, except some like statistics which has half the topics in normal maths. Half GCSEs take up 1 hours and we had 6 hours to fill, I chose two full and two half but I get 4 GCSEs for them instead of 3 if the two half I picked only gave half GCSEs
It sounds kind of complicated I think but once it's worked out it's not

One day I may be promoted and get to shovel Cart horse size sh*t instead of normal size horse cr*p . . .
It inspires me to work harder every day.

I'm think I'm going to try and get work experience at an accountants. It sounds like a rather boring job but I love working with money. I'm not sure if I'll be able to entirely trust myself with the responsibility though :s
So If I decide I don't like it, I think I'll set my eyes on another career, of which I don't know

At my school, we took the core subjects (Science, Maths, RE, English) + 1 humanity (History or Geography) + 1 language (French, Spanish or German) + 2 others. The science and English courses we take are worth 2 GCSEs each, but the science course includes all 3, we don't take individual exams on them. I took History + Spanish, then for my other 2 I took DT and French (as your other options you can take another language) I dont know really what I want to do when I'm older. It's my work experience the first week in March and I'm going to work in a garage because my dad knows the owner and I didn't know where else to go. I think when I'm older maybe I'll do something to do with languages because you get paid a lot and I would love to live in Spain or Portugal

I'd love to continue with my German, my mum says that I could spend my summer after year 11 there, it's easier to completely learn the language that way. I want to do an IB and it would be really good if I was able to do a more advanced German for my language.
Since I was about 5 one of my life goals is to be able to speak properly with my Grandma in German.

It is, Sarah. Apparently, if you live in a country where they speak a different language, and you have a basic grip on it, you can be fluent in about six months That's what we got told, anyway.
We had to do the core subjects (Maths, English lit&lang, Science & RE). For maths, 'cus I am in top set, we had to do a Statistics GCSE (I got an A ;D) and now we have to do another GCSE called "Additional Maths", which is like the stuff wer're doing now, in real life problems. It was a BTEC ICT, and I've gotten two B's for it - we finished the course in OCTOBER! so now we have until May (when we go on study leave) to revise and shizz. We get 2 GCSE's for Science, because I'm in top set, we do an Additional Science, too, and all three are combined. I have an A in Core science, but this years is kinda harder, so I'm only aiming for a B I took History (worst idea ever...), ICT, and French for my options in year 9. I'm also in the process of doing a home-study German course that will get me an actual GCSE.
For AS I'm taking German (providing I get an okay grade in my course--ive been told that even if i do crap, they'll probably make an exception for the needing a C thing, though, because I've done it all of my own back without a teacher, and i'm blatantly motivated to do it myself ;]), French, English combined, and Psychology. I wanna take German and French on to A2, but I'm not sure which I'll drop yet of the other two. I know I want to be an interpreter or something when I'm older, for French and/or German, hopefully both. In college there are enhancement programmes where you can go and work abroad for a few weeks, so I've already put my name down for that xD, and there are exchanges, too. And the other night I was looking at gap years (for some reason) and being an au pair, or teaching english to foreigners was looking rather appealing to me already. Hmmm. A lot to think about, I guess.
Ack, it's scary

I'm in the process of arranging my interviews for a few colleges and I've now decided (FINALLY! xD) what I'm going to be taking. I have applied for AS ICT, Media, Economics and Psychology. However thats only for one college, for all the other colleges I have replaced Psychology with English Language I've also have thought that when I'm older I would like to either work for Apple, Google or in the RAF ^^ I'm real gutted that I wont be corrying on my french at college but I've spoken to my French teacher and she said that if I still wanted to do French after she will set me up with an au pair/exchange in France to help me keep in touch with the language. so that might be useful (: I just really need to pull out all the stops to get the grades I know I can get

I'm about to do my third German exchange, which'll hopefully look really good on my resemee thingy at the end.
It feels so weird that I'm having to start thinking about all these qualifications and shizz. To be honest, I still feel like a year 7
