Other band's street teams

Before the Tokio Hotel Street Team I have never been that bothered to join one. I didn't quite get what Street Teams were about and never encountered many and of those none have ever appealed to me.

Personally Elliot Minor are not really for me. They're ok, I like the first song, also the second but after that it just sounds all the same to me. Sorry. ;D
The Echelon, I suppose, are named after "Echelon" one of the songs from the first album. Might have been their first single. . It definitely was released as a single, just not sure if it was the first. It was the first song I ever heard by them and is still one of my favourites. I wouldn't want to join them though, just for the nastiness of some of them and also because I don't really want to get involved.

I've joined the Sign ST (Icelandic band, really worth a listen) and the Glamour Of The Kill ST on myspace but only for information purposes. They don't do much anyway, just inform about votings and ask to hand out flyers.

To me, our Tokio Hotel ST family is the only one worth getting actively involved in and I love it for the people, the band and the fun we have together! ;D

to be honest ive never felt the urge to be involved with any other street teams
ive never become more involved with a band than i am with tokio hotel
and ive never met a group of people that know so little about eachother yet can be part of something like this
i think the difference with other ST's is that most of them dont seem to like eachother, or have some sort of issue.
we are like completely different, the music does truly unite us.

Ha-I didn't even make the link between the song and the name of their street team. Clearly I was using the bathroom when they were dishing out the brains.........
And I agree completely with the last posts, it's a completely different atmosphere here, there's way more of a community feel. There's no nastiness or competitiveness and it doesn't matter who's the biggest fan ;D

I was in The Calling`s. I didn`t really know anything about street teams when I joined up, and theirs was great - so a good first experience.

Your exactly right!
The point of a ST is to promote the band and have fun in the mean time.
It's never fun if everyone just wants to argue about little things that won't help out the band in anyway.
Doesn't portray them in a very good light as fans if they don't actually do anything!

Which I think (without blowing our own trumpet *toot!) we're so awesome!, we all pull together to help TH in what every way it may need

I'm in the Linkin Park Street Team as well.
But I actually am a new member, although I've been a fan since 2000...
I never really got the point of joining a street team before...
But when I joined this one, I thought the idea was so cool ^^

Although it's a shame I don't live in the UK and I can't really help promoting...

Oh, and I'm about to join the Yellowcard Street Team now, cus I really love them and if I can promote them in Belgium I def will xD

Well, as I was once in The Calling`s street team, I thought I`d join Alex Band`s now he`s gone solo. I got on the forum and found that TH had got a real slating!! So I left a post sticking up for them and told the woman who`d asked me to join to poke it!!! ( only not quite as politely as that! )

Sad thing is, Alex is a nice chap, and would definately be supportive of a young band like TH. It`s a shame his fans are so mean and narrow minded.

I never really was a Street Teamer myself, BUT I've been kind of Street Teaming for Cinema Bizarre. I'm a Mod on the Official UK Street Team Forum and I'm always telling people about them and doing that kind of thing, but I'd like to be an active memberof the CB Street Team. And Negative, I'd like to be a NGT Street Teamer too.

reviving this thread, i'm a member of a fun street team for a new band called twenty twenty if you all like elliot minor then you will like twenty twenty i first met them when they were promoting at an elliot minor gig!

I love the twenty twenty forum but i must admit i do have a few problems with it first i made a street team for them it became official but their manager said we had to make the leader of the london street team an administrator which was fine butwe waited fo her to join a week later she'd set up her own that became the official one so i had to join that and i don't really like her secondly she's Never on ever so we can't make new boards or anything i was writing about a new hoodie i got in the musc section :/ she goes on every so often to moan at us for posting in the wrong place but thats all and she's the only staff on a brighter note we need to bring some more tokio hotel fans to the forum theres one person who's french that's seen them 3 times but doesn't like them anymore (jonas brothers now :/) but apart from that no one knows who TH are! So please join www.twentytwentyst.proboards.com so it shouldn't be too difficult to use
