I was thinking I would create a thread to talk about what our first ever memories are.
My first memory is of a day when I was just 2 and I had been stung on the back by a bee. All I remember is standing in the upstairs hall screaming, then something about my mum taking me in to my mum and dads room so my dad could have a look. He was in bed after working night shift.

Hmm that's quite difficult.... I think my first memory is at a day care thing, before Nursery, so i must have been about 2? Everyone was sitting in a big semi-circle (but on chairs, not on the floor) and the teacher was at the open gap and some girl came in late and took the other empty seat then cried and walked out again. Bit random i know

My first memory is of going to an ice cream van and dropping my ice cream in the middle of the street. That was so traumatic at the time! I don't know how old I was then... I think I was about three years old but not so sure.

Haha, it's interesting to see these memories. My earliest were probably in my old house. I remember the location and my toys and wiping poo on the walls with my nappy, blowing my nose on the peeling wallpaper and dreaming that a devil stole me from my bed among lots of other little things

my earliest memory is playing football with my older brothers outside. me & jon (oldest) against james (middle) because me & jon together made us just as good as james was. & then my dad would come home from work & join in & we'd all be against james. i was such a tomboy as a kid. i grew up with my brothers being my best friends so i have a proper boy side to me :')
awwh, this makes me miss being a kid :')

I dont get on that well with mine. We`ve always been like that. I think our personailities clash too much and we dont really get each other. These are good memories to have, even the poo one, you were having a bit of fun

Ah memories! I always wonder about people's first memories. Such a good topic and interesting to read! ;D I have loads of childhood memories and admittedly dwell a lot on memories in general. Sometimes I feel like I remember so much stuff but more from when I was younger than from my later teenage years etc.
Anyway, the one I consider my first memory is this: I don't know how old I was but I was in the arms of my grandpa who was carrying me inside my great-grandma's house. When I was little I used to sleep at her house when I stayed at my grand-parents' (two seperate houses but one yard but it wasn't my grandpa who lived there, it was my other one... both my grandparents' couples live in the same village, five minutes apart). Great-grandma was walking in front of us, it was dark outside and just before we walked through the front door, I pointed to the sky and wanted to know what the sparkly things were. I don't know if I talked (or how much I could talk at that time) but if I didn't talk, I indicated enough for my grandpa to know what I wanted and he told me that those things were stars.
