I think parents think everything thats not natural on your body is shocking. When I was at college I had loadsa lip n tongue n ear piercings and that, but now I'm at work i just have a bar across the top of my ear and my tongue and then normal ear piercings. They dont even mind that I'm tattooed. Obviously I dont come into work with clothes that shows off my tattoos on purpose, but the ones on my lower arms are usually always visable and no ones told me off for them. Sometimes I think parents forget what its like to be young!

My dad doesn't care if I get like a ear/lip/nose/eyebrow piercing, but he doesn't want me to get a tounge piercing because they're dangerous, but it's only dangerous if you don't get it done properly and don't look after it.
My friends dad is all 'If you were supposed to have holes in your body, you'd be born with them' and it's like o.o@him

Well as safe as piercings are... The saliva keeps it like mostly clean and coz the tongue is a muscle it heals way quicker than say a navel or eyebrow etc. But of course it needs to be done really carefully coz it can like....ruin your nerves or something if it's done wrong or hits the wrong place...or something XD I got told once, but my memory is terrible

Yeah, you can bleed to death if they do it wrong- because their are two large viens on the underside of your tongue- and if a nerve is struck you won't be able to talk D:
But i got mine done and it's completely fineee.

The veins under your tongue are pretty easy to see so anyone that pierces them shouldnt be allowed to do it! They pierce it from underneath anyway, well they did with mine.
Anyone ever considered any of them in-skin implant things? My piercer has a huge ball under the skin in his wrist. And my tattooists mate has spikes coming out of the back of his hand. Bit too much for me though!

I don`t have any myself, and probably would`nt either, but my mum`s boyfriend had them in his back. They ran down from his neck increasing in size, and resembled a kind of dragon`s spine or something... I have to admit it looked pretty cool. I`ve seen some really nice scarifications. I`ve considered having having a small one done, but I`d have to be pretty sure first. Did anyone see Apocalypto? Some of the women in the Mayan city had some awesome facial markings.

I saw someone with devils horns on their forehead *duh, where else would they be LOL* But that was on halloween, the rest of the year would be quite strange and I doubt they'd get a job! x x x
