There's this place where I got my tongue piercing done where they are really strict with the age limit. I had to bring in my passport so they'd believe me =[
But that makes it a good thing =P

When I got my piercings I was in college. (Bar my nose piercing, so I needed proof of age for that) But other than that I haven't been asked since for when I have piercings, but generally once you have some part ofyour face pierced they just guess you're the correct age. xD

Heh, I'm gonna go to the same place for my piercings (they're slightly cheaper than the tattoo parlours), so they'll have my age on record.

Beckah's right, that is illegal.
Are you sure that place actually tattoo's 16yr olds or just makes sure your 16yrsold for piercings.
16 is the age you need to be to get a piecing without your parents permission *with the exception of a few select piecings*

But you need to be 18 to get tattooed, whether you have your parents permission or not!
Plus tattooists aren't insured if your under 18, so if anything goes wrong, your not covered!

Just thought I'd join in! I've got 2 holes in each earlobe and the top of my left ear pierced. I really want to get a tattoo though-I just need to work up the courage to get it done, lol!
Can anyone who has a tattoo on their wrist though tell me if there's an issue with getting it done because of the veins? Someone told me you couldn't get a tattoo at the top of your wrist because of the veins, you had to get it done a bit lower down. Don't know if that's true??

I know the place where I'm getting my first tattoo done, and the guy doesn't like tattoo 12 year olds and stuff, I think he just prosumes that if you're over 10 you're 18. I know quite a lot of people that have their tattoos from there, so I will check it out. If I don't feel comfortable in the room and stuff though, I will just leave and then wait until I am 18

I haaaave 3 in one ear 2 in the other, one is cartilige, and my belly.
BUT i don't think it's going to stay put for long, got navel done in........September....and it's already iffy...Apparently like 2/3 reject or something. =/ Joy....

And i am hopefully getting my tongue done in easter. When my 'rents go away.
Any tips for how i can hide it or the healing time etc? T'would be appreciated, since i get thrown out if i get caught....

I want a thick outline of a star of the inside of my wrist and a fairy on my ankle and myabe a moon on the side of my neck lol..
And im also getting my tounge peirced in easter ! Tips would be good !

Basically, thats crap. I've got roses on my wrists and they're right at the top over the veins, i'll try and stick a pic of em in. It doesnt hurt as much as you'd imagine either, I think cos the skins pretty soft in that area its not too bad. It doesnt bleed more either.

i have
ears once when i was 4
then i got second ones done when i was 11
and now i keep piercings my own ears
i have 6 in one and 2 in the other ATM

i have my belly done since i was just turned 14 ( i was chavy at the time )
then i got
my lip done last year in march (2007)
then i got it done again
the week after
both on the same side (right)
so i have spider bites
and then i i got my nose done in the summer holidays (2007)
i pierced my own lip a couple of months ago on the left side
my perants have only just found out
but they were okay with it

im getting my tounge done in may (everyone at my school is getting it done atm so im gonna wait til i leave school and start college)
im getting my hips done as soon as i get £75 without spending it

V2 joined the black parade 31/01/07 ( :'(Vitu was a 16 year old boy that went to my school and he was a really nice guy and soo amazing and kind and he was a rapper and wanted to be a doctor, he was also the best footballer in our school ... i met him when i was in year 6 but i got to know him last year when he started 6th form at my school... 1 night on teh way home from a football match his mum was going to pick him up like she did for EVERY match ... this one time his mayte offered him a lift home and he said okay so he told his mum he had a lift home and they were on their way back ... whilst driving hom a white van smashed straight into the passenger side of the car straight into Vitu...his seatbelt cut across him and killed him after 30mins - an hour ... they got him out of the car and he died there and then ... one the 1st feb 2007 everyone found out and it was a day before my birthday ... i was still crying on my birthday i didnt want to celebrate when we had just lost the most amaazing boy ... he was truley ONE in a MILLION ... he was a full on Christian .. didnt drink ... didnt smoke.... didnt believe in sex before marrige... he was inlove... he went to church every sunday and prayed every day ... it was aweful .... tomorrow is a YEAR since he died ... i decided i'm going to pay some respect by getting his name tatooed around my wrist ...)

I'd say it'd be better to get your tongue pierced during the summer because it helps the swelling to have a lot of ice cream and cold drinks.
Don't eat hot food- it'll heat up the tongue bar and trust me. OUCH. (If you do, you'll get used to it after a while.)

Buy nurofen meltlets, that's what I did-- they help, a LOT.

well, in the end it's your body. my parents don't have a problem with my piercings any more. (My dad doesn't have anything against them, my mum&stepdad however think they're gross. xD)
