Being a massive tokio hotel fan, I find their success (or lack of) in the UK quite unsatisfactory!! So i've conjoured up a couple of ideas that i think everyone can do to really try and raise the TH flag in the UK! (Anyone else who has ideas (crazy as you wish! ) please post them!)- Firstly, I'm going to compose some letters to as many Music channels and radio stations in the UK as possible; Q, NME, MTV, Kerrang!, all sorts. Any suggestions as to what to include in the letters and most welcome!
- Me and Bonaheen have a Youtube channel which we will do some MAJOR parading on, to help invoke some TH into a few of our friends, and then hopefully expand to others! we'll also post on websites everywhere
- My last idea, however, i think is Quite genius! as many people as possible should take a trip to their local HMV, gather up all the TokioHotel stuff you can, and just pop them at the front of the racks - no better way to grab someones attention then a beautiful CD to look at, eh?
What does everyone think? ;D

This kind of enthusiasm is always welcome. ;D And putting TH stuff (if there is any) in front of the racks has always been a priority. Hehe Like you said. One of the easiest ways to catch people's eyes.
Surely keep sending readers' letters and let mags etc know that you want Tokio Hotel featured in the UK and how much you love their music and what it means to you. The main thing is not to sound overly annoying in the sense of e.g. not using proper spelling and sounding like a super long text message full of abbrevations or too much begging plz plz plz. I guess you know what I mean. We want people to take the band and therefore also the fans seriously and not like it's just some fan-girling phase we're going through at the moment.

I had the photoshoot for my college prospectus yesterday for german and the photographer was really interested in the fact that I had a german band on my hoody and tee-shirt xD the plan worked he wanted a picture of the back of my hoody and a few including my tee-shirt on full display infront of a german flag xD so it looks like they'll be in the prospectus xD

RIGHT! here is the letter- im going to send it to Q, NME, MTV UK and Kerrang! its quite hefty, but here goes:
Dear [magazine] I have been a fan of your magazine for many years now; the ever informative articles have never failed to acquaint me (and surely numerous others) with new acts and bands that I had previously never heard of. Recently, however, despite no assistance off of [magazine], or any other form of UK press, advertising or publication, I have become a dedicated fan of a little-known band in the UK called Tokio Hotel. To many people, the name ‘Tokio Hotel’ conjures up an image of Bill Kaulitz - the bands big-haired, internationally recognised front man. But that’s it. No acknowledgement of their ability to create and perform catchy rock-pop tunes; no comprehension of their incredible success around not only Europe, but the rest of the world. The latter point confuses me greatly; the band are internationally huge, yet the UK media continues to either fail to tap-into their evident abundance, or just blatantly ignore them. Either way, the UK is missing out on something extraordinary. [Magazine] prides itself as being a magazine that provides readers with new/alternative/exciting music, and with such an influence on purchaser, [magazine] would seem to be an obvious place for people to discover this underestimated band - any coverage in this renowned magazine, big or small, would surely help to increase the UK’s interest in Tokio Hotel (and according to their one-million plus record sales and phenomenal fan-base over the globe, this could not result as a bad thing). My goal, and the goal of the small but massively devoted troop of Tokio Hotel UK Fans, has always been to invoke the passion that we feel for their music into others, and if we could secure some help from notorious magazines such as this, our goal would be far more achievable. I feel that any form of Tokio Hotel coverage in your magazine (no matter how small) would make a difference; introducing your customers to new bands is what [magazine] does best - it’s what it’s done for me so many times before, and I hope it’ll continue to do so. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter; my last request is that you truly do take the time to consider my proposal. Kind regards, Imogen Humphries (Representative of the Tokio Hotel UK Fan Club)

That's amazing ! ;O That inspires me. Seriously, I think we should all start getting serious about this. Do whatever we can. For me, It's getting to the desperate-ness. I'll write my own, and send them to various magazines, And hopefully, What we say will be heard !

I completely agree Sophie! I'd write letters too but I'm just not as good and persuasive at writing letters as immy is!
