As you know, Tokio Hotel won Best Group at the EMAs and of course the awards got plenty of media coverage. If you see any UK press mentioning Tokio Hotel (or rudely ignoring them), please leave a comment or send them an email to encourage them to feature Tokio Hotel more prominantly. Here’s a couple to get you started: Head over to MTV UK and let them know that Tokio Hotel are NOT unknown in the UK and that some of us would like to see them here. Leave a comment at MTV UKNext up, The Times (of epic failure): They failed to even note that Tokio Hotel performed or won one of the biggest awards of the night. Tell them off. Comment to the Times Online. NOTE: comments are moderated, so be polite. Go, Street Team, go. Rock the comments!! |

Maggotbunny, you're being too negative. Just because you think they wont take any notice of us it doesnt mean we shouldnt try! Thats what seperates us Street Teamers from other fans, that we never stop trying even when we think its futile. The UK press never will care if we dont try...
-Edit- I just registered and commented on The Times, telling them that TH have a big fanbase over in the UK and they won one of the biggest awards of the night yet they received no mention!

Negativity doesn't get anyone anywhere so hush.
The British press don't NOT care, they just don't know TH, so how do you expect them to write about them if they don't know about them? They don't ignore us, they take it into account and whether they want to mention things or not is down to them, all we can do is do our best in getting them heard. Like Claire said, thank the ones that mention them, and tell off the ones that cut them out completely.

I think the Metro rudely ignored them as well  My mum told me how she read an article about the EMAs and they like mentioned who won awards and they mentioned Green Day and stuff but not Tokio Hotel |

No, they know who TH are, it is their job to report everything, but because they dont care about TH, They dont put them in. Why are you keeping these negative jibes going?? We are a very positive, not to mention hard working, bunch. Where would TH be if all their fans had your attitude and just assumed "oh that newspaper won't care, so why bother"... perhaps they wouldn't be quite where they are now, the fans and their support have a massive impact. They just need a little more help when it comes to the UK after a rocky start and that's what we are here for! Consistent negative comments like this are pointless in here Maggotbunny. |
