Halloween is nearly here, so I thought we should have a thread - just general chat / ideas etc. Do you guys have Halloween parties?
I LOVE Halloween! And it's only 11 days to go. YAY! ;D
I missed it last year because of the Fanwalk. Well, I didn't 'miss' it exactly. We did have an amazing Halloween party. But I missed celebrating it at home with my mum and the twins. So we're making up for it BIG time lol.
I have some awesome costume ideas for the twins - but not much time to create them. Sooo gotta get cracking. And mum is making a cake - she says it's gonna be really cool - but she won't tell me what it is, LOL! *curious*
Anyway people - thoughts? You like Halloween? Got any plans for this year? Share you ideas and stuff here

I usually put some sort of costume on, homemade if I have the time and spend the evening answering the door and having a little bit of fun with the little 'uns. I'm going over a friends house this year and will probably spend the day going ice skating, since they usually have something or other going on and then back to hers for a movie and as much junk food as we can cram in! I used to and still do love Halloween so much. I have a bin bag full of decorations up in the attic that come down every year. Haha, I'm a big kid at heart.

I love Halloween! I used to have parties as a kid.. I was always the witch or Vampire.. I've been invited out this year to a public Halloween party, not sure about going though because I'll only know one person and she's not the biggest socialite about to be fair. Either that or, I'll offer to take my cousins trick or treating

When I was younger, Hallowe'en happened every year, like full-on. But these days, I sort of have other things to do than collect costume bits and bobs (not that it's a bad thing to do!) It's also my Grandad's birthday on the 31st (like Havanah!), so it's very much a family affair and always has been for me. This year, I don't think we're doing Hallowe'en, as my Grandad's dad was also born on the 31st and we're having a sort of celebration and discussion about him this year. My parents also always ignore trick-or-treaters... I've always thought it rude to have children coming to one's door demanding sweets, but once again it's part of the occasion (or at least was after the Americans came up with it) and I have nothing against people who do it (away from my home) I hope everyone has fun this year ;D

(or at least was after the Americans came up with it) Well, it's true that the Americans do Halloween more lavishly than we do, and held the first modernized celebrations. But the origins of Halloween are Celtic - from the festival of Samhain ( pronounced Sow-een ). The old customs were taken to America by the Irish.

I LOVE Halloween/Samhain. I have a Wiccan background so when I was younger, celebrations were quiet because the 31st and Nov 1st are both considered the Day of the Dead (either one depending), so it was just some games and time with the family... over the past few years I've started going out for it though, and I'm the same as Aimee, always the witch or the vampire/bride lol. This year I'm working, so I'll be in the Tesco petrol station until 11pm as a gothed up witch. Can't wait ;D

I'm not really doing anything for Halloween, although my sister is going trick or treating, but I'm going to a party on Thursday, which is just a little "gathering" lol

Love love love Halloween. I went out with a small group of friends back in 2007 it was rather a LOL night. Last year we cancelled and this year i'm making up big time for it..But not with the same people. I'm going to be trashing(okay not trashing) but i'm going to be at a house party for a few hours (with the small group of friends from '07) then i'm trekking it down to Brighton with Cherry, Becki, Shawn and his boyfriend Kevin.
Kevin is going as Lady Gaga (I actually can't wait too see that!) as for the others no clue what they are going as ..But me ..I'm going as...MINNIE MOUSE..Yes not very halloweeny but i like to be different haha..So it will be clubbing in Brighton from around 10pm til 6am (when the club shuts) and then on a train back to the hole i live in xD
