Our friends from the Swedish Street Team posted a blog a couple of days ago and I can only agree and stress what Claire said. Yes, there are obnoxious fans. We all know this and we've experienced it one way or the other way. They're everywhere. No matter what country. Yes, it's good to moan from time to time and to vent but it shouldn't go against fellow fans in general. Try not to lose yourself in it. It doesn't help the situation and is contra-productive, e.g. now we need a lot of strength for the EMA votings. Anway, here's the blog from the Swedish Street Team:
About the ongoing war between Tokio Hotel fans of different countries..
Are you wondering what I am talking about? You might have heard of the reactions from European fans when Tokio Hotel goes to the U.S. Or you might have heard of the American fans reaction when Tokio hotel anounced that they will celebrate the possible winning of a VMA award with a party and signing in a European city..
In these fan-war times we at the Official Tokio Hotel Swedish street team are reaching out to you fans; hoping and begging you all to stick together, don..t just be fans of the band, be fans of the fandom!!
Stick together. Support each other and be happy for each and every country that gets the joy of having Tokio Hotel come to them! The band is trying the best to come and play to all of you, so give them a fighting chance to have a normal schedule as well, and PLZ stop being selfish!!
It is embarrassing that Tokio Hotel fans are fighting each other, and it tears the fandom apart. This must stop. How can we call ourselves the best fans in the world if we can..t even stick together? Please rise yourself above this.
Feel free to help us spread the word about this insanity.
Love, Johanna and Madeleine.

So, there I was going about with my day to day business. I am very busy throughout August, so I've barely looked at any of the stuff coming from the US, just merely glanced at any news. And it was getting to the end of the whole thing, so I'm thinking to myself: well done, Claire, you're getting over Tokio Hotel. You're becoming a grown-up. Then I saw the news of all the more signings/performances in LA next week and I'm just brewing with jealous energy. Pah.
But, I did watch some of the footage from Mexico and got a bit emotional. Which I do whenever a new country is introduced into the whole community. And to see such a massive demand and mayhem. Well, it just makes me realise that TH are going to conquer the WORLD. And it's so cool.

Agrees with Skye.
The purpose of this thread is to vent frustration over the band situation in the US.
Not to insult the US or American people in general.

it took me longer to calm down than i thought otherwise i would have done this earlier or may have never written that comment
i am very sorry for my comment earlier. I only wrote that in frustaration to what's going on around me, and i never normally release it this way. Eve i am sorry for offending you and anyone else for that matter. i have also deleted the comment
just give me a slap on the wrist a strike anything whatever because this never normally happens *meaning when i get frustarated i don't take it out things like this*
im sorry everyone and if it makes you all feel better i will leave the forum for a while so it can pass over

Aww Holly, there's not need for you to leave the forum for a while. You weren't the only one ranting and you were surely not the only one getting a bit too heated with it sometimes due to frustration. You've apologized and that's really appreciated. All of us just need to try and not get insulting and offend fellow fans because of something other fans of their country did, said or because they treated us badly. We can't "punish" fans for the ignorance of others. I'm sure most of us understand that. And as I've said before there are also Americans amongst foreign fans who support us and hope that the UK situation will get sorted soon.
We love you, Eve!
I haven't seen anything of Mexico yet but I I agree, I also always find it so exciting when a new country is introduced to the community. ;D

I have a friend in Mexico who I have totally converted into a TH fan LOL. On the old forum I worked on ( not for TH ) I was always going on about them and everyone used to tell me to shut up lol.
I left that forum as admin, but I still pop back, and keep in touch with old friends there.
Anyway, the point I'm getting at, is that she's been telling me how TH fever is spreading in Mexico! It's hard as we don't speak each other's language, so we get by on minimal stuff - but it sounds so exciting. I long for that for this country.
Funny thing is - I was meant to move to Mexico - I had a job and everything arranged! If I'd gone ahead with it, I would have seen the guys there quicker! Lol. How ironic!

I didn't see whatever was said, but thanks for apologising, Holly. I know Eve will forgive you as she's awesome. And I think sometimes we forget that she's from the US because she's a Londoner at heart. Even so, as I've said previously in this thread, this is NOT the place to be rude and make hurtful comments about American fans. I will shut it if that happens. We need to be a bit more mature about our frustration. Yes, it's good to vent, but when we start getting out of hand we need to reassess our own behaviour.
Thanks all!
Claire x

I know!!!!!! Also fans from different contries fighting... I mean I do moan about the USA but I am so not taking a knock at the people who live there at all, mainly because some af my relatives live there and it is just so wrong to sterio-type people just by the comments/actions of a few TH fangirls! The only reason is because of the fact that TH seem overly obsessed with the place!!! And seem to have forgotten all about us!!!!
