This was part of an email I sent a while back when they first started the whole US obsession to the "fans@tokiohotel.de" (mainly an experiment more than anything): "...Sadly I missed your ONLY concert here in the UK last year, as I couldn't get tickets, and since then I have been waiting for you announce another concert date, which hasn't happened yet! :-( I was just wondering will you guys ever actually come to the UK or release your CD over here? If so do you have a vague idea when?..." and I got back: "...Too bad you couldnĀ“t come to the UK-concert, but we are sure there will be another show there anytime soon. Just be patient :-)..." I have been patient for the past year!!!! And now they are f**k**g obsessed with the USA!!!!

You know, I understand getting frustrated with the band. Even angry at times. I feel like that too. But, I wouldn't want to 'punish' them by not voting for them. The VMAs are important to us too. If the band won't come here, at least if they win a VMA our media will start picking up on it and maybe we'll get something out of it. Aside from the selfish reason, we know TH really want to crack the US. It's something they've spoken about before. So if we care about the band, we should support that as much as we can. Sure, b*tch and moan all you like, but don't withdraw support.
If this thread starts getting out of hand like that (remember, we're the ~official UK street team~ so we support TH completely), I will have to close it. By all means, whine about it because I certainly have my moments, but I will not allow any suggestions of withdrawing support.

I couldn't agree more strongly. I bleat as bad as everyone else about the US situation, but I still support them as much as I would if they had been in the UK for a year! ( dream on chicas lol )

Very true! I get frustrated but I still support the band because for me they're the important part in all of this. It's all about the music and the band not about some other fans with bad attitudes... or sarcastic remarks from others. Ok, I agree the "too bad" also sounded a bit off to me but firstly, only because a TH representative writes/says it, it doesn't mean that this is the way the band themselves think. Secondly, there's the language barrier. "too bad" might not have sounded that unfortunate to whoever wrote it at the time. Maybe "Shame you couldn't make it" would have sounded better but maybe that would've just sounded as sarcastic. Plus I don't think they often have time to consider their words wisely. I know I've written and said things when in the end I wished I would've put it differently just not to sound that rude.
Also, I don't know but I find some of the German fanclub forum mods a bit rude sometimes, too. I'm not on there a lot so I can't really judge them but I've seen a few posts when they replied to members where I thought they sounded rather snotty. Just like Germans can be. *lol*
Anyway, I'll still support the band with votings, No matter what country and no matter how frustrated I get sometimes because I want to support the band.

I will continue to support the band and everything and promote them but I won't watch any more TH TV unless it has "TH in the UK" because to be honest why would I want to watch a video with them in the states, watching while fans rub salt into the wound even deeper by scream "Tokio Hotel!" Knowing full well that we can't fecking do that because they won't come here.
I get more angry at the management for sucking up to the US and licking it's ass. I mean what is so fecking brilliant about the US anyway?
It has a shyt president who is sending troops out everyday to get killed. The country won't sign the Kyoto Protocol to reduce it's carbon emissions. It is a country full with high school killings every year.
It's just that the long we're told to be "patient" the longer they hold out on us, it's like holding a treat to a dog, telling it to sit and give you paw then not giving it the fecking treat. It's not fair on us.
The US is not the way to go. Cinema Bizarre's Luminor and Kiro (My husband and pet) said that the UK has high expectations and that it's a tough mountain to climb and I wish that Tokio Hotel would take that into consideration.
The US drops bands and even if they keep them they turn into a marketing product, like Hilary Duff, Ashley Tisdale, Zac Efron, The Jonas Brothers. All of them are marketing products, only created to make money.
I will keep voting and reading interviews but I refuse to watch TH TV until it is in the UK.

I agree with Tamara, I mean, why bother watching TH TV? I'll keep voting & supporting the band 'cause that's what fans should do but like Tamara said, it's like "holding a treat to a dog, telling it to sit and give you paw then not giving it the fecking treat. It's not fair on us." That's true.
Yesterday when I was about to drift off to sleep, I thought about how next year might be with Tokio Hotel, will it be USA USA USA USA USA USA... or will it be Europe Europe Europe Europe Europe Europe or will it be both? Or is it gonna be a world tour? or a European tour? Who knows :/
