They don't care if he's the 'quiet' member of the band; that's basically saying if it was Bill or a louder member it'd be normal and/or okay!!
If it's the group I think it is, and it was an attack on the band they don't care who it is. They see one of them, and if they can, they'll do it to any of them, like they did to Gustav.
If it wasn't, then it could possibly have been anyone - but sadly, it was our Gustav.

I'm disgusted that anyone would do such a thing to someone. To attack a band member because of pure hatred just astounds me. I don't understand why some people hate them so much, there is no need!!!!

is this the brutal attacker?
Secretly he looks around him and walks towards the exit of the Club in a hurry.
Does this picture show the man, who hit Tokio Hotel drummer Gustav over the head with 2 beerbottles early sundaymorning? Gustav got hurt bad by the attack and had to be stitched up with 36 stitches.
The images of the fleeing of the assumed offenders were recorded by a securitycam in the club. The film is at the Magdeburger police office, who are pressing charges for dangerous bodily harm.
Also visible on the video, is Gustav walking into the disco and leaving the club with his cap and a handkerchief around his right hand on the way to the hospital.
Are the brutal beaters going to get caught?
Three witneses are going to be heard by the police this week. they are sure, the man with the shirt and pullover is the main offender.
Clubchef Panos Kondogtis, who knows the identity of the men, told Bild: "they have been warned about their aggresive behaviour in the past more then once. they gave me their word that something like that would never happen again. On this special night they broke their word".
He has nothing but disrespect, (dispices) for the offenders: "they are real cowards, to attack a 1.70 meter tall man with 3 men at the same time. They pretend to be tough guys and then do something so cowardly. they are not worth the honorcode of the street and I will offer my help, to bring them to justice with my statement. That has nothing to do with Gustav being a promi, but it is about principle. I want to have a clean club".
In the next few days the drummer of Tokio Hotel will be questioned about the incident and will have to identify the offenders.

Oh god, that is aweful! I can't understand it. Although my mum did make a good point, he is extremely lucky it wasn't worse. He could have easily ended up blind.

There have been some more articles about this on Bild.de (sorry, don't have the links at the moment). The guy who did it turned himself over to Police and has given a statement. Apparently it wasn't about Gustav being one of the Tokio Hotel guys but that the girl he was talking to was his younger brother's girlfriend or she just was there with him. Not sure. In the last interview he doesn't even mention the girl but according to him Gustav and some friends got in an argument with his younger brother and he got involved and was very drunk and doesn't remember much of it anyway. He also injured his hand when hitting Gustav with a beer glass and needed 9 stitches. Police said he wouldn't be a stranger to them because of violent incidents/aggressive behaviour in the past.

Urgh. It's shocking what idiotic situations people get themselves into. I can understand wanting to stick up for your brother however, stabbing someone in the head with a bottle is too far and using alcohol as an excuse makes it worse. The fact that the police recognise him from other assaults speaks volumes.

www.bild.de/BILD/unterhaltung/leute/2009/07/18/tokio-hotel-gustav-exklusiv/der-schlaeger-stellt-sich-der-polizei.htmlThe crude beating attack on „Tokio hotel drummer Gustav (20) in a Magdeburg disco – now the prime suspect of police has surrender himself! Yesterday at 11.29 o'clock Nexhat T. (29) added towards officials: Yes, I have beaten Gustav bloody. I am the person who was identified on the supervision video by witnesses. “ Nervously he shows the bandage of his right hand: „Nine stings, everything had to be sewed. I have infernal pains. “ Then he tells his version about the night: „ I was totally drunk, I drunk a lot of vodka Red Bull. About 4 o'clock everything has started.. First, according to Nexhat, with a wrangling in which his brother was involved. „I was in between and gave the one with the cap a slap. He was the smallest, however, but he was the one with the biggest mouth“ What Nexhat T. supposedly did not know : „The smallest" was Gustav, the drummer of „Tokio hotel “! „I did not know that he is so famous. I also do not know his music. “ Nexhat T. further: „Then I saw how my brother suddenly lay on the ground. Gustav wanted to beat me with his fist. Because I had my glass still in the hand and wanted to defend myself, I strucked him in the affect on the front of his head. It was a glass, and not like Gustav said, two beer bottles. “By the blow the glass broke and slit the racquet his hand. However, how had it generally come to the fight? Nexhat T.: „My brother was in the company of a blonde girl . Gustav has turned on them quite permanently. My brother has probably only laughed at him. “ Then the quarell started. The Kosovo Albanian with stay permission lives for 7 years in Germany, is divorced and has a son (nearly 2). He works as a culinary help in a Magdeburg restaurant. Nexhat T.: now „I have big fear to lose my job. Nevertheless, I must nourish my family. “
is that the one you meant, susi?

There's people commenting on the pictures, saying things like 'I hope the person who did this gets stabbed'. I can't believe people would think like that. Maybe it's just me.

Yes, that's the article I meant, Nom. Thanks. There's also an interview with him. He doesn't seem to speak German (or not a lot) as it gets translated or dubbed but there seem to be quite a few "assumption" words when he talks about what happened. E.g. he says after slapping Gustav the first time he went to the gents and when he came back his brother was on the floor and Gustav and some guys were surrounding him... so basically he didn't even see what happened in the meantime when he needed the loo. It all seems rather sketchy to me. Him being that drunk surely doesn't help and yes, I think, that he's known to the police also doesn't speak in his favour greatly.
People leaving comments like that is horrible. It's a really low level! Violence is not the answer even if it's only a comment like that. It's ridiculous. That just helps to make violence seem more "normal" and established in society. It's not ok and it doesn't help the situation. *sigh* I'm not sorry that the guy got hurt and needed stitches, too, but it was his own doing getting him there and if he's in pain right now, fine. Maybe it gets him thinking a lot harder next time he attempts to hurt another person like this (which will hopefully never happen).
