Dear everyone,
In recent months, you may have noticed that there has been a tense and somewhat argumentative atmosphere on the forum. We have too. The mods and admin have been discussing the issue as we are concerned that the once warm and friendly atmosphere of the forum has become more of a challenging experience.
In nearly 2 years, this forum has survived without fierce rules. Without bannings. Without posts or threads being deleted. Without censorship. We have only asked each and every member to respect their fellow street teamers and be considerate of each other and respectful of the mods.
We run this street team for you. Between the admin and moderating staff, we give all our time to creating a happy place to socialise and meet friends, and provide you with experiences to create lasting memories. You cannot find another Tokio Hotel street team or fanclub that will give you the kind of meet-ups we do. And we fight for the UK and we try our best. Do any other STs or FCs get mentioned on the TH Myspace, on the TH homepages, or have THTV come and film them just having fun together? No. You don't know how hard those things are to achieve.
Apparently our best isn't always enough for some members of this forum. Accusations of 'fascism', censorship, victimisation and various unpleasant things has really knocked it out of the admin and mod team in the last week. We don't spend our free time providing all of you with things for it to be thrown back in our face. It's not fair. See, we do this out of love - for Tokio Hotel and for the Street Team - but, if it's not respected, then we have no reason to do it. We don't get paid or get given anything for our time, so if we don't have the respect of the ST, then we've lost our reason to do it.
So please bear that in mind when you use this forum and participate with the ST.

Random Rants argument
Last week there was an argument in the random rants thread. As a result this thread has been closed and will not be reopened. Do not start a new one as it will be deleted.
neonlights & rippinkittin - consider this your first warning each. Both of you stepped horribly over the line during that argument and I don't want to see that kind of thing again. I want you to both think really carefully how much the ST means to you and whether you really believe the things that you've said about the moderators and the forum in general. The forum will not change to fit around personalities, and moderators are doing what they need to keep this a good place for everyone. If this is not good enough for you both, then you will either learn to live with it, or risk stepping over the line one last time.
Until now I have always felt very proud of our forum and the way everyone has got along with everyone else. There has always been a close and happy atmosphere. But now I'm just disappointed.
Thanks.
Claire

Rules
- You should all be aware of the rules of this forum. However, if not, please check them out here.
- In addition to those, we are going to state something that we always assumed was obvious, but probably does need to be stated: you must NOT ever backchat at mods or admin. Disagreeing with anyone if perfectly acceptable, but stop and think about how you are addressing someone. Comments like STFU are not an appropriate for anyone, let alone a mod.
- If a moderator asks you to do something, you do it. This happens rarely and therefore if it does it means it's a serious request.
- From now on, we are implementing a warning system. If you behave inappropriately on the forum or break one of the rules, you will be given a warning. If we need to give you a second warning, you will be banned.
