I always like to listen to the presenters' accents ;D I secretly wouldn't have minded the UK winning, but I don't think I'd have looked into Alexander so much if Norway hadn't have won. So all is good  |

Not at all! It gives a fabulous vary of national styles. They always have the odd great song (like the ones I listed  ). |

Hmmm... I have Dima Bilan's 'Never Let You Go' from 2006 Hanna Pakarinen's 'Leave me Alone' from 2007 The Ukraine entry from 2007... the tinsel-wearing man The Iceland entry from 2008 Dima Bilan's 'Believe' from 2008 And now, Miss Kiss Kiss Bang and Fairytale from this year. My mum just called me sad I do like foreign music. Not a single one of my favourite bands are English I think its because British/English bands get so overplayed on the radio here I get sick of them. Leyla has more eurovision songs though, a lot more, apparently |

Being a violinist I think it's fab that someone has combined singing with the violin! I love how he uses pizzicato (plucking the violin) to make chords as a backing! Also as a violinist I have to say his technique is more that of an Irish fiddler than vanessa mae, but who cares? He's cute! x |

Russia- Anastasia Prikhodko - Mamo
Ukraine- Svetlana Laboda - Be My Valentine (Anti Crisis Girl)
Bosnia&Herzegovina - Regina - Bistra Voda
Norway - Alexander Rybak - Fairytale
Sweden - Malena Erdman - La Voix
I'm so glad B&H won the composing award! And I only liked the intro for Ukraines entry. Azerbaijan was also one of my favourites. TBH, I didn't think UK would win with such good competition this year.

aaahah I have loads of eurovision on my ipod too! The best entry EVER was Romania '06, TORNERO! Then ruslana, for the ukraine in 2004 with GO! GO! GO WILD DANCERS! Which won...yay. sweden 2000, swizerland, spain and ukraine 2007 (zeiben zeiben ei le lu! Apparently I was singing that in my sleep once )... iceland 2008... all epic... ahah I could go on. I'm glad I'm not the only top saddo like Has anyone here been to 'eurobeat' the musical? I went last year and it was just so so fantastic, it had eurovision spot on!! |
