Yeah Paganism is pretty nice. Satanism is good too, if youre into it. If youre not, it seems really selfish :/ I guess it depends on your mindset and how much research you do. Don't worry, i'm not going to try force it down your throat, you'll make up your own mind. & I'm used to being stereotyped, it's to be expected nowadays. But the more people who understand, the better. (Y)

The best thing to do is just be open minded.
I just want to ask you to tone it down a bit though turner. I know that religion is a subject that invokes quite a passionate response, but we should keep ourselves calm about it. Comparing God and Hitler is quite extreme and I don't want anyone offended. This forum is for people of all beliefs and ideas and sometimes our words can, inadvertently, upset. So lets try to be respectful.
There are many aspects to Satanism that I understand and that I would take as a good philosophy in life - individualism, individual responsibility, instinct, etc. But, regardless of that, it's still an organised religion that seeks to control, which always puts me off, in addition to some of the philosophies - an eye for an eye, only love those that deserve it, etc.
I dabbled with Paganism for a really long time as a teen, Spiritualism, Hinduism and Buddhism (Hinduism and Buddhism are peaceful major religions and have very little in common with the ideas of Christianity and Islam, for example, which I agree are non-peaceful religions.) But, I am an atheist through and through - none of them stuck and none of them really worked for me.
Generally, I think we are all lucky that we live in a society where we can choose and perhaps this is one of the greatest freedoms we have been given.

I'm not really religious, but I do think we have to be open minded, At my school there are a few religions, like Morman, Christians, Muslims, Josephs Witness (I dunno if thats right lol) That's what I can think of atm, but Im atheist.

ahah Josephs Witness! that amused me no end, and is much more exciting than Jehovas witness. I just have this image of Lee Mead in a technicolour dream coat singing 'any dream will do' and loads of people worshipping him, then trying to convert others to their cause i.e. the church of Lord Lloyd-Weber... I'd certainly consider converting if THAT was the case!
Oops... went off on a bit of a tangent as per.
Yeah, but we once got Jehovas Witnesses knocking on our door on CHRISTMAS DAY. I mean... really. It was just like 'right... we have presents. You don't. Is this REALLY the best time?'

My Dad's side of the family is religious, which makes us religious. But recently I've been thinking "this doesn't make sense." I was sat in church on Sunday while everyone else was standing and singing and was like "for all we know, they could be singing to no one." I'm turning agnostic and don't what to do. I don't want to hurt my Dad's feelings because he's like proper religious :-\

Religion is a commitment and if you cant live up to it i think theres no point in getting involved. I couldnt agree with that more. It annoys me greatly when people tell me that they are committed, practicing Roman Catholics and yet have been having sex since the age of 14. I find it hypocritical and delusional.

I hate it when people say they're christian because they got christianed as a baby and go to church on a christmas day. This boy in my form says that he doesn't believe in god, but when he wants something, then he prays.

Technically I'm a Christian, I was christened when I was younger, through it own choice actually. My mum wants me to be confirmed but tbh I really cba having to go to Sunday school and learn the thingy (I believe in god our father, creator of heaven and earth, I believe in Jesus Christ, his son...)
I mean I do believe in certain things but I can't see how it I possible to fully believe whilst being taught in physics that god didn't create the earth, it happened by accident when two planets collided, and Adam and eve never were, we are all decended from dinosaurs!
I do believe certain things like 'the silver ring thing' chastity before commitment etc, but I think it should be a promise you make to yourself not the church. x

Apologies to anyone i offended by my somewhat stupid remark about the fascists. I started ranting and didn't think. I used to be like tht...but it didnt work. I hate it when people say they're christian because they got christianed as a baby and go to church on a christmas day. This boy in my form says that he doesn't believe in god, but when he wants something, then he prays. Then I realised that if i say something..it comes true...so i just started saying things instead of praying and it worked. You probs think im a hugeeee weirdo...but seriously,,,im not lying. it actually comes true. Ask Jess & Goodman if you dont believe me xx
