I'm not sure if a thread of this subject already exists, but the media is saying that YouTube will no longer be showing music videos to UK users, due to costs. What will we do?!
There are still some music videos on there, but I hear they won't be for long. Views?

Isn't it only music videos from certain record labels (unfortunatly I believe that includes Universal), and only music videos that have officially been put up?
I don't know, me and my friends were 'researching' it today... ;D

aye, it's only the official ones, all the uploads by civilians are still there... you just have to look harder for them!

According to a recent press release, Youtube and Universal are creating a new version of the site, where music videos will be put up, without violations of copyrights and licensing.
They've tentatively called it Vevo - and it should be up within the next quarter.
Meanwhile, if things go drastically wrong, we've still got Dailymotion and loads of other video sites!

Well don't get stressed out. I'm not saying you are. I'm just saying it wouldn't help if you did. It's not healthy I'm sure we'll find a solution (or already have), and if not, we'll have to live with it. |

hehe, I managed to watch a couple of Maximum the Hormone videos today... and they're official music videos, but uploaded by random YouTubers. Dp they not count? Although I did find myself unable to watch some... um.... whose videos were they? I think they were The Rasmus.
