So say 'It's pronounced GEORG!' if you're in for a SE meet up.

IT'S PRONOUNCED GEORG! *is angry at fans who refuse to pronounce it that way* Is the meet-up in Brighton then? Brighton's a bit far for me, it might take me a few hours to get there but hey, I can try. *starts looking for cheap train tickets*

Hey Liz, no definate decision has been made about a location as of yet, and it's always a problem finding somewhere that suits everyone. But we'll always try to make it accessible to as many people as possible. ( and finish up at a time when everyone can make it home at a sensible hour etc... )
Also, when the time comes, from past experience, National Express seems to be the best option for travel, cost wise.

So, who's actually organising this like.. properly? If you get what I mean.
We really need one or two people to organise it, otherwise I find these things to be rather messy. (For example when I was .. 15 and a few from the DF forum was trying to organise a DF meet thing it all went to sh*t because everyone was saying different things!!)

Becki, that's exactly the reason why we said ages ago that only 'official' meet ups could be discussed on the forum. Alot of work goes into organizing a meet up so that it runs smoothly, and it has to be done properly.
We haven't yet decided on people to run each regional team. It's one of the things on the 'to do' list for the New Year.
This thread has kind of jumped the gun a tiny bit lol, but we don't want to tread on people's enthusiasm! And it's cool to have so many ideas already being discussed, as it will make things easier to finalise.
Please bear with us everyone. We will be getting onto this asap! ;D

Well this is just an idea at the moment so it's not official. It's just that as I've never been to a big THUKST meet up I'd sorta like to go to one for this region just to get myself into it, I hope you lot understand and I am sorry if I made everyone worry.

You're not making anyone worry, love. A regional meet-up in the SE is a good idea. It's just organising it all, sometimes it can become messy y'know? I'm all up for it, and I'm quite good at organising things and I've been thinking about it for a while -- the Regional team thing - so I might put my name forward for the Regional thingy for the SE.

Hey Tamara, as Becki said - you didn't worry anyone!
Talking about different possibilities for the meet up is a good thing. ;D When the time comes to make specific decisions about a locations etc, everyone's opinions and input can then be taken into consideration.

To be honest, I don't mind going far. I was expecting it to be in London or something anyway which is about 2 hours away from me. But yeeeeeeeah... Should be good where ever
