It’s about time we’d started a thread for this, yeah? Well, I’m just getting impatient. Ha ha. We’ve been rather good on our forum and haven’t talked much about the DVD yet as most of you will get it for Christmas. However, Christmas is very near now and I wanted to start a thread ready for you to use as soon as you’ve had the chance to watch it. HAVE FUN!!!
This thread is for all the DVD related discussions, opinions, favourite and less liked moments, questions and maybe just to have a laugh. Just whatever you'd like to talk about when it comes to the new DVD.
I only put “spoilers” in the thread title because there will be some for people who haven’t watched the DVD yet not because I intend to post any right now. It’s just that I won’t be on-line over Christmas so I wanted to post a few of my impressions before I leave as I can’t join the discussion when it’ll start.
My TV was being rather nice to me last night (it’s not working properly so I pretty much haven’t watched TV in about a year as I couldn’t be bothered to get a new one) and I decided to take advantage of it and watch the DVDs. *yay* Of course it took me way longer than the actual running time… because of all the rewinding. *cough* I started off with the second DVD, the one with the new TH TV episodes and the band interview and watched DVD 1 after that. I actually found it rather helpful having watched it in that order because it made it easier for me to get one or two things that were mentioned on DVD 1 right from the start.
Anyway, I had sooo much fun watching those DVDs. ;D By 4am I had to seriously shush myself and remind myself that laughing that much and loud wouldn’t be the best thing to do at that time of day when other people want to sleep. Also *phew* but was I lucky to only having fused all of the electric sockets in the house just after 5am when I had finished watching the DVDs! I don’t have access to any fuse boxes so that would’ve been very annoying if it had happened in the middle of watching it (and I only, accidently, dropped a piece of a potato waffle in the toaster ).
So yes, loooved the DVDs, loved seeing the band like that, loved the conversations (the heated discussions, squealing voices *Georg?*rofl*), loved watching them watch TH TV. It’s full of great band moments (the teasing, the jokes, the faces, the stories! It's always interesting to hear about things that I haven't heard before.). I love when Tom talks about their past and changes his voice for it or when they jokingly repeat a random word amongst each other because someone pronounced it with a bit of an accent beforehand (sometimes the Magdeburg accent shines through… though I’m a bit useless at recognising it ). There’s so much Bill-ness a la Hurry, I want to get in the car, I’m cold on it (especially during their commentaries), it’s hilarious. The G’s have pretty good moments too. One in particular made me laugh out loud… and some more Gustav dance moves, anyone? It reminded me of rick-rolling though. Ha ha.
The talk about the new album was interesting. A bit unsettling because it’s just so hard to imagine what to expect and whether we’ll like it but I definitely can’t wait to finally get to hear something. It sounds intriguing.
From what I saw of the subtitles, I think they’re more accurate than e.g. the original TH TV ones, still a few glitches but not too many.
Well, I leave you with this rather general and a bit random post and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and that you’ll enjoy watching the DVDs as much as I did. Make sure to post about it on here after you’ve done so.
P.S.: ? ;D

I've watched DVD 1 so far. And have you noticed on Bill's top at 53:08, Bill at has a zip on the side of his shirt. And then later on on the DVD, I can't remember where, but Bill has a zip on the back of his shirt. And also on the starps (can't remember what they're called) he wears for the Hot Topic Photoshoot, there is zips. He's zip crazy!!!! But, I loved the the DVD, took twice as long to watch it then normal I'm off now to watch DVD 2. Thought I'd post this before I forget ;D (Hoe I would I don't know )

I watched the second DVD a little while ago, just after I got it... but now I can't watch DVD 1 because our DVD player is broken, and the subtitles don't work on the computer But yeah, Dvd 2. It was awesome The go kart racing thing was fantastic, I loved Bill's reaction when he found out he didn't win And the interview bits where really good Bill singing about an alien was quite odd though... The bad news is, I can't actually remember what else happened, because I watched it qiute a while ago... Actually, wait! The quad biking, that was amazing, and looked like so much fun! But the paintballing looked painful... xx

I'm gonna write much more about the DVD when I have more time, but just had to say, Claire - I'm pretty sure I now know what bit you were referring to when you said I was gonna die with love for Tom, LOL.
And, I did!!!! ;D
OK, so we all know the guys like animals, dogs in particular. But listening to Tom talk with real conviction about not liking zoos etc ... awww. I just love that he feels that way.
Obviously he is perfect for me! * sigh*

I watched the DVDs on christmas day. I watched the first one with my parents, and there was quite a bit of swearing, so I was like "hmmm", I don't think they really cared though, they both fell asleep! And I just enjoyed all of it, really looking forward to their new CD now. But have to wait a while...

I watched the second one last night. I also watched the first on xmas day, now everytime I talk about buying some merchandise my mum goes, "yeah, to support their dream of getting an appartment in New York and a mansion in LA" whilst rolling her eyes. It's the only bit she really saw of it. I hate hearing them talk about the new album because it makes me REALLY frustrated that I can't hear it. I swear I've almost cried because I want to hear it soo much. I feel so sorry for Bill when he thinks he came 2nd 'cos that's what he's told but then it turns out he's 3rd after he was so happy he was second awww

Listening to them talk about the new album was so exciting, but so scary too!
For me, not liking it would be a bit like waking up next to your perfect boyfriend and realising you don't love him anymore!!! I can't even think about not liking it!
So yeah, I'm scared with the new stuff and everything. But actually, listening to Bill talk about it, I feel they have earned the right to do what they want with this album. And I hope that I love it! ;D
The dvds were just so awesome. I loved them. Especially the new stuff with the paintballing and quad biking. Bill makes me laugh so much. He mucks in with the rest of them, but still manages to maintain a sort of elegance, lol.
And I have to mention the twin huddling! It never fails to melt my heart the way they sit so close together in interviews and stuff. It's so sweet. Aww, I just love them ;D
And - Tom, lose the hats and bandanas once in a while?! You look totally gorgeous without them!

Aha. I loved it when Tom and Georg were talking about past memories, and Georg brought up that house thing that Tom slept in, and Tom was denying it. And then along came Bill. That bit absolultey cracked me up At the end of the quad biking bit, I had a tissue in hand, ready to go in the screen and clean their faces "What do you mean I came third?" "It means you came after second place" OMG hilarious. Deary me. I loved it. I'mma go and watch it again.

I have to say I just loved the new episode where Georg and Tom were talking about the past! It's my fave of the new ones. The whole conversation is hilarious and interesting (I loved hearing about Black Questionmark in general and the randomness of it all e.g. Bill and the guinea pig). How Tom tries to deny the stories about him and that house but Georg insists on it and then when Bill is there he asks him and Bill immediately confirms everything Georg was just waiting to hear. ha ha, I was seriously laughing so much about how high pitched Georg's voice gets there. I also rofl-ed at Tom's story-telling about Bill and his kickboard. I could just so picture it how he was convinced he could be a professional if only he'd practise enough and Tom reasoning with him. ;D
I have to agree, Liz. Bill makes me laugh so much as well. It's always so easy to take the mickey about how girly he is yet he gets involved in all the "guy stuff" and is really competitive about it and doesn't mind to get dirty etc. There was no Gustav for the quad-biking but Bill was in the middle of it and enjoyed it. He was the kid taking dancing lessons and at the same time go-karting. He's pretty amazing. I also thought it was brilliant how before watching the DVD all the pics of the dirty guys after the quad-biking were about the twins but it was Georg that I thought actually looked the funniest with his dirty face.
Oh, I loved the immediate "revenge" of Tom and how he gave away details of Bill's dancing school past and how there would still be videos available to watch. *lol*
At first I was a bit confused about the black bars that where put over their mouths. Ok, we're used to things getting bleeped out but that? Then I realised that, oh well, it's probably our own fault. *cough* Just thinking about us fans eagerly lip reading because we wanted to find out what the name of that horrible hotel was the twins b*tched about on the last DVD. *oops*
I could go on but I'd better stop for now. ;D

I finally got it today, I had to drive all the way to the post office and pick it up, lazy bums wouldn't redeliver it. One thing I have to say about it, it's a LOUD DVD. Like I usually watch DVDs in my bedroom with the volume on 21 and I had to go bak and forth between 7 and 9 for this, so loud O.o
The commentary on the first one just cracked me up, when you see the twins actually interact and the such you realize Bill is so much more masculine than Tom XD And Gustav was delightful in it, with his perfectly timed two word comments and his faces or dancing in the background, I found myself rewinding it constantly so that I could watch everyone. I think the part that cracked me up the most was when they're in the car going to the go-karts for the first time and Georg and Gustav are in the back dancing and singing.
My dad, of course, found Bill's comment about having a rhinestone on the go-kart mask thing the most amusing, his exact words were "Oh my god! I TOLD you Fluffy was gay!" (Dad calls Bill 'Fluffy', now he's got my mom saying it too) And everytime Tom did something girly dad made a comment about being betrayed, apparently since Tom looks manly he's not allowed to act girly XP
There are one small thing I wish was different. I wish they had also put in the THTV episodes the boys watched without commentary, just cause they're good fun and the commentary cut out getting to see everything. I had really hoped they would show the whole EMA preformance cause that would have been amazing to see on the big screen tv in HD.
Best two hours ever. Now all my friends are going to come over and watch it, I will be expected to know when all the good parts are coming up. I'm excited.
