Hey guys, sorry for the delay in giving you an update on this! We're just very busy, also with our private lives... you know, things like having a regular job. (You have no idea how long this little post took me to write down. )
Anyway, I'm sorry to say that we had to put this fan action on hold. There were a few factors leading to this decision but mainly it came down to lack of participation. We just didn't receive enough pictures to make this a really cool thing to give to the band. All of you know just how hard we have to work to make everybody see that there are more than a handful fans in the UK, that we are a fanbase that's to be taken seriously and that we don't intend to give up. We've worked for that all year and therefore cannot let it end on a low participation note, if you know what I mean. We can do better! We can achieve more, we know it. We've done it before. Of course we realise people are busy and cannot always be around. No worries. We all know what that's like. However we cannot forget that we're also a Street Team and as such want to get people interested and involved meaning we need Street teamers working on this as well. Yes, we might seem like a fan club sometimes and we work hard to give you the best Street Team we can be and THUKST is awesome because of all of you! You do a lot and we love you for it because you not only support the band but also us. Having said all that I also have to say that of course we keep an eye on this forum and read about all the things you do etc. We appreciate ideas and creativity but we also need to work together and have to see things through rather than being all over the place (which is also why having regional leaders will be great). As a Street Team we not only need you to participate but also to spread the word about us. About our fan actions, our activities (e.g. the owngig one for a UK gig... that's a very important activity and might be our only chance to get a TH concert in the UK so spread the word but stress that it's not about spamming!), our website etc. Use the website! We've collected loads of info on there about street teaming, about regional leaders (come on, guys, we'd love some more applications ;D even if you don't want to apply yourself, get other people interested or tell them about it because they might just not know about it) etc so go have a look and read about it. It's not even boring. *lol* Long wound ramble but you get the idea, yeah?
We always give 100% maybe even more but never less and that goes for everything we do. We cannot slow down now... not with a new album and year on the horizon. THUKST needs to be prepared for whatever may come our way and we cannot do this without you. And now I sound a bit too dramatic... ;D
Anyway, back to the point of this particular fan action. The idea will be put on hold and we're very likely to use it next year. Not for Christmas but sooner. Ha ha. I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed (and I guess, everybody who sent in a pic is too) but well, we'll get back to it one way or the other. As for the Christmas pics, we really had some awesome submissions and who knows, we might get to use them for next year's Christmas. Sorry everyone who took time to participate and came up with cool pics. We hope you understand our decision.
