Hi, Just want to say, don't get disheartened. You still have the most bids on site and it's just that Shannon Noll and Rick Astley have just started their campaigns. Our charts measure demand over the last 30 days and it's inevitable that as both of those acts have just started they'll attract a lot of bids. As you can see on the overall bids chart - on the left hand side of this page, you guys are still number one. owngig.com/charts/latestbids/1Keep up the good work! Neil

Thanks, Neil! We just have a thing about being behind Astley!! And we like to be #1. I really hope that we hit 1000 eventually! We've just about squeezed all our resources for promoting it and so we'll have to see about doing something new. Did you guys look into widgets for homepages at all? Claire x

You only get to bid for them once This is because when you bid for them, it's not the same as, for instance, when you register a vote for an award. It's not just a popularity vote. Owngig have to have a realistic idea of how many people want to come to the gig, and how much they would be willing to pay for a ticket.
Otherwise, they could potentially end up organizing a gig that not enough people seriously want to attend!
But you do get the option to say how many tickets you would want, when you bid.
Hope that makes sense!

Just bid! I was wondering, how much are people bidding for them? I bid between £50-100 because I have spent that amount on gig tickets before (£90 for McFly, front row... pricey, but totally worth it!!), but I was wondering what other people have put down?

I think that's how much I bid as well. I think it's a good amount. To be honest, anything over £100 is going to be way over price for the average TH fan. They have to pitch it right otherwise no one will buy tickets. The majority of TH fans are far too young to be paying over £100.
But for a small one-off gig with TH that was driven by the ST? I would certainly pay £100. The idea just makes me feel excited.
By the way, everyone, we have audio of Owngig on BBC Radio 2 mentioning Tokio Hotel! Check it out:
I love owngig and I would love a TH gig to go ahead. Not only for us, but also because I think it would give the website enough publicity to make it an international name. And it's such a cool concept. Personally, having been into TH for a while, it seems like the ideal platform for people who love bands from other countries to be able to get them to the UK for a gig. I'd like to see more bids from fans of Panik and Bushido...I know they have good followings over here, I'm just not involved in their fan community. Or am I mistaken about the size of their UK fanbases?

Phew! I was half worried someone was going to turn around and say "That's such a small amount!! I've bidded one MILLIOOONN DOLLLAARRSS, BWAHAHAHAHAA!!" I'd be so happy for TH to play here, but even if they don't, for the next tour they do, I'm heading off to see them in Europe if I have to, so I figure either way, I'll end up paying silly amounts of money! Fingers crossed this works anyway!

Signed up, done, and sent to friends. Already sitting on the top spot I see I put between £100-£200 with the same thinking that even if they dont come to the UK I'm quite prepared to travel to see them, a German gig of theirs would be pretty awesome!! Bt yeh, fingers x'd they hit the UK pretty soon

Ohhh, TH are #3 on the board now. Claire Look on the bright side! TH are the all time most voted gig! Which makes it more likely 4 TH 2 get a gig here!
