I kind of like the song.
But I think it is the most appalling song choice for the Winner's Single.
The arrangement was just awful and where on earth was that great big dramatic bit they usually have for the last chorus... I mean, they tried to have it in there, but it did not work at all, and I have to say as much as I wanted Alexandra to win, I wouldn't buy that single at all.

Alexandra is too much like Leona... my mum (who even wanted her to win) said 'oh look, Leona's dress is awful!' when she came out wearing that gold monstrosity. Blah yes, agree with the butchering of 'Hallelujah.' I LOVE that song, I've got three versions of it on my ipod (Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright) but oh goodness the X factor versions were an OFFENCE! I was watching the final in the pub and everyone I was with were shouting 'NO! NO! Don't murder this song!!'

'NO! NO! Don't murder this song!!' Exactly what I was shouting at the tv. I think Alex is brilliant and definitely deserved especially after her duet with Beyonce. (made me cry) I love that song but it really wasn't done any justice if I'm honest.

Thought I'd dig out this thread as the X Factor season is coming around again and didn't see the need for a new one. Just wanted to let those who are fans of the show know that for the first time, there is chance for a live studio audience to watch the live auditions for the X Factor. Tickets are free, you just have to apply early and cross your fingers waiting for the rest to happen. You can apply here - www.applausestore.com/index.phpAlso, good luck if anybody has entered this year!

I applied for the X Factor again this year, but my audition fell on the same day as the Street Team party in London, and I chose the party ;D

Oh yeah, I heard it'd be in front of a large audience! It's kind of like a narrowed down version of BGT but I'll still love to see how the show goes. And how the audience reacts. And how the person singing will react to the audience reacting.
Lol?

Lol! Only just saw that. Of course you're not. I loved how good Danyl's performance was on Saturday, the guy is super good. I hope he goes far. Was it just me or did the show seem to have a ridiculous number of adverts throughout it?
