are MTV going to let the Rick Rollers get away with doing that? if they are TH have no chance of winning, even though they are the best in the catergory!

OK to be honest I don't know if TH deserve being best act ever beside these other bands but still I would like to have a fair voting. If the majority of people who vote(by hand) vote for Rick alllright that's ok with me but not these tricks.
and seriously if rick wins and says he prouf of having the award I don't know what to think of him.winning by cheating-yeha -.-

this is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these so called "fans" are making a complete joke out of the music industry and the awards that ALL artists work so hard for, not just the EMAs but every award ceremony out there they are all sick in the head and MTV is encouraging this idiocy by firstly putting him in the catagory and now allowing this to go on. they know all TH sites are being targeted and they still do nothing! talk about condoning it
i wouldnt blame any of the artists in that catagory for pulling out last minute, i know i would. but then i like to make a statement

I actually would love to see Tokio Hotel withdraw from the category and make a statement about supporting the fans and not being interested in taking part in a mockery.
I'm really mad at these people. I believe that the reason our forum was down for a brief period earlier is because of them. It's too much of a coincidence. They succeeded in killing the TH servers last night too, though they were prepared for it because I informed the webteam. But, such a heavy attack is almost impossible to prevent.
I am so gutted that the EMAs have been so heavily tarnished by this. The Headliner award is now being fought by Linkin Park fans using autovoting because they have been told that TH fans are autovoting for Headliner. It's a complete MESS.
I'm hoping that /b/ (the people behind this) will back off - they can't possibly want to continue attacking TH sites until 6 November, but these people are persistant. That's how they become known in this way.
FYI: The reason they target Tokio Hotel is two-fold. A) They hate the band and call them f*gs and such, even though they have a slightly odd obsession with Bill. B) We're the fanbase that offers them the biggest threat. We talk about how we want to fight back, we talk about autovoting, we KNOW what they're up to because we're aware of the Internet.
The whole thing is lame. It WOULD happen the year the EMAs are in the UK and we have the one chance to show TH how much we're here for them. At this rate, they won't be winning one award and the whole ceremony will be an embarrassment.

P.S. I think MTV is hedging its bets. With rickrollers autovoting, it's bringing more attention and publicity to the awards. There are more hits to their site too, which means that the advertisers will love it. Without that, there would have been a news report here and there about who's performing, etc, but not this level of interest.
I think they're probably going to try and get Rick Astley to perform or attend. Then they will give in to the autovoters and give him the award. However, if he refuses (which I think he will because as far as I can tell, he doesn't like this whole thing anymore), I think they may make a statement disqualifying the autovotes.
However, I don't know. Leaving it this long to say they're not counting autovoting will be quite difficult. They must have had a reason for allowing it this year because last year they had preventative measures with a delay between votes. They even had that on the fanwalk site. So why did they leave voting so open to abuse?
The whole thing is SH*T.

I'm dreaming of MTV doing something against it or the artist that wins going on stage saying:"f*** you all/MTV-I don't want this award when I got it by autovotes". seriously if it wasn't for the guys and you I wouldn't try to go anymore...
It's so ridiculous and I hope every artist in this categorie hears of it and reacts to it. It would be a serious embarassement if for example Bill goes on stage and says: "tanhk you so much!!!!! bla bla..we love you (our fans) you have made this possible" BECAUSE if they win everybody will think we used autovote ........ -.-

This is completely pathetic! It's not fair. Linkin Park fans did this last year with autovoting. Rick Astley is shit and I hope every TH fan across Europe is voting loads!

I know this whole thing is a mess, and all this sh*t is getting us down. Autovotings, Rick Astley fans and all the other rubbish that are helping us lose our confidence in getting TH an award.
BUT, if they don't get an award - so what? Yeah, okay - we'd LOVE for them to win an award even mopre tha normal 'cus it's in the UK. Somewhere accessible to most of us. But remember, they're STILL going to be there, and all we can do is show our support.
They won't miss us, and they know how much we appreiciate them coming over even though there's a chance they won't win because of the auto-voters.
At least they know how loyal their fanbase is, and how we tried our f*cking hardest.
So just look at it as being able to see our Boys, and knowing that they've finally had the chance to see us in Action at the Red Carpet and how much we support them. Okay?
Does that make sense?

You are never gona believe this. I got rickrolled on youtube! I clicked on what i thought was Saw 5 Trailer but then it started playin his vid. I can't believe it. Arrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!! Stupid B******s. If your really really curious, here's the link. Hmph!! Edit: I've taken the link off. On the German forum people keep posting it in the EMA thread and nobody takes it off and it irritates the members. They would love for mods to edit the posts, so I'm just doing it here. It happened to so many people already. *pfft* Although I'm a curious person myself, I'm happy to resist the urge to click this one.

It is a sh*t situation. I think we can all happily agree on that. However, we can't let that discourage us in our voting. Not all is lost and even though it might seem that we're fighting a losing battle, we just don't know that yet. We don't know how MTV will go about this in the end and we don't know if our voting right now might be in vain. Personally I would feel worse if I'd slow down now and having to wonder if this could've made a difference in the end. Also, we've received an official request today to keep voting for both awards and that's what I'm going to do. Because other artists' fans, supporters or overly bored people with no other joys in life than manipulating votes for a certain 80s singer want to use autovoting and whatever unfair method they can come up with, doesn't mean we don't stand a chance and shouldn't vote with the same dedication we normally would. TH fans have succeeded in lots of votes over the past three years and we're a good voting force. At the end of the day we can still be proud whatever the outcome may be. We either win or lose fair and without cheating. We know we've given our best to support Tokio Hotel and we'll fight hard. We shouldn't let other people put us down with whatever they're saying or doing. We'll go our way to wherever it may lead - victory or defeat. At least we'll know we've done our best and given it all.
