Okay, I've nearly finished Twilight and I'm reeeeeeally enjoying it. I just ordered the other two - I hope they come tomorrow!
The writing style is a bit pedestrian - she's not a great writer - BUT, her characters are very addictive and she's extremely good at describing.
In terms of her writing - structure of the book is odd. Nothing happens for the first two thirds and it was frustrating me to read the details of Bella's life. It was almost literally a day to day account and nothing happened. I know she was establishing, but I swear a lot of that could have been left out. No doubt it will be left out of the movie.
Once a little exposition comes out and we have more information, it really picks up a lot more and becomes quite gripping.
I have a really little bit left, but I'm at work and can't read it. But a good sign is that I WANT to read it, and instead I just ordered more. LOL.
Glad it's a series. Looking forward to reading more of it.

WTF is that? Edward looks ridiculous, not dazzlingly beautiful. Good lord. The other one is much better and more how I see Edward. Am fixating on Edward, I know, but, yeah. Keep the pics coming! LOL. Claire

Yes, I read it too! I'm so miffed that it's out on the 4th August here (compared with 2nd in the US). It means I'll have to avoid the internet for days in order not to get inadvertently spoiled!!
*is completely obsessed*
Thank you everyone that introduced me to the books. I'm thrilled to find them.
