im sorry but THE DIRECTOR OF ABOUT A BOY? what the absolute hell? stephenie meyer is getting all poncey also, the woman had an awesome idea, but shes getting a bit keen for being a "celebrity" no? i swear if they replace taylor i will NOT be happy -stamps foot- A number one rule in the film industry SHOULD BE "Absolutely NEVER re-cast a part unless the originally casted actor/director/etc has passed away." Or maybe if they feel they can't top an epic film. ;D

Shall we suggest it to some film companies then? ;D It's understandable they had to re-cast Dumbledore for the Harry Potter flims cuz Richard Harris - sorry to be so blunt about it - snuffed it after Chamber of Secrets.

fgs i just wrote this out and wen i pressed post i had to sign in again ^^ grrr LOL
yeh so:
my step dad was reading his paper today and sed there was an article about 'that film' im going to see tomor - Twilight LOL obv., so i read it and was really pleased with what it had to say about it but got rele p*ssed with the journalist who wrote the piece cos he sed something about the book which irritated me cos, as far as im concerned, the books are immense... -_-
:=
" Twilight is based on the first of a best-selling vampire-romance series of novels by Mormon author Stephanie Meyer, and one of the best things about the movie is that we are spared Ms Meyer's tendency to overkil with adverbs and adjectives. " I was soo annoyed cos i think the book, and therefore the story itself, wouldnt be as good without the detailed descriptions, cos then how else wld she explain and help us capture the emotions and the fascination of the story?!?! . . . . .. .. .. . . . . oh my god i sound like my nan

*joins thread* I've just seen it a few hours ago! Considering as I was expecting it to be a huge pile of poop, it actually wasn't that bad. It only just sticks to the book in some bits, often cutting a few days or two out in order to keep the movie flowing, but on the whole, I enjoyed it. ^.^ Even my friend's boyfriend *who we just dragged there for lulz* enjoyed it. And did anyone else notice the placement of the owl in Biology? I just thought that was really cute and random.

Ach, It's so good
I cried. I never cry unless I'm hormonal which I'm not for the moment.
Jasper us really sexy in it, I don't know why but I melted at the face he has on in the dining room which is weird because his face is all stiff and such.
Cannot wait for the DVD!!!!!

Same thoughts about Jasper - he's really cute. Though one thing that bugged me - his eyes are HUGE! They make him look really innocent and weak, like he has to try harder to resist the blood, but it still bugged me. >.< Also Eric, Mike, Jessica and Angela were NOTHING like how I imagined them to be! Most of the casting I'm pretty happy with, but with them four and Kristen I wasn't happy with the casting. X.x Also YES Roll on the DVD! I shall have to get it as soon as it comes out *and also as soon after that as I have money >.<* I want to see the special features already! *is still hyper from earlier*

Aww, but Mike was so adorable and rather funny as well.
I was very surprised at how well they kept to the book. Sometimes it's a problem about how they twist everything up so it is too different. But the climax of the film, when she's being hunted didn't feel long. There's meant to be a whole load of emotion where she misses Edward and she's stuck in the hotel room. I wouldn't have minded the film being longer if they built it up a bit better. It just seemed like a dead firework that half went off at the end. And when they were in the school cafateria they should have been much more colder and less human like at some points. Somehow.
But I am in a VERY critical mood at the moment. I really enjoyed the film. Better then I expected. better then my hopes, it wasn't a curse that I also kind of got my hopes up because they were matched with some brilliant EVERYTHING. I liked the camerawork and everything. But the future werewolves seemed to old, aren't they meant to be like 15? They seemed older then Bella and all.

They are supposed to be younger - Jacob's only just 16 when he and Bella meet on the beach in the book. But then Taylor's also only 16, so... I dunno.
They should have brought the hunt out more! When I first read that bit in the book, I was actually kinda scared. But the film kinda killed it - Alice and Jasper weren't even looking after her properly in the hotel! >.< They could at least TRY. *sigh* Yay for random book-to-script changes [/sarcasm].
