Welsh is soooo hard because you have so many tenses and mutations, like theres the soft mutation and the navel mutation and all that crap. and they teach it sooo badly, seriously all we do is read from books and we are expected to learn from that. personally i think if they did something more interactive we would learn a lot better ¬_¬ and Maths arghh I'm in set 3 our of 5 and in for higher tier! I hope I pass! I would just die if I didn't >.< Damn... I'm glad I'm not Welsh! ^-^

*dragging up an old thread* Is there anyone here who speaks/writes fluent/ semi-fluent French? I was borderline A* in my mocks. My teacher, who I dislike strongly, said that there was no chance of me getting one in the real thing. I am desperate to prove her wrong. Is there anyone who'd be able to look over some French that I've done and tell me if it's correct?

Chica, if you're getting A* in your mocks, which are past exams anyway, you're likely to get an A* in your real exam.

It was borderline - I think it was pure luck really.
I'd really just like to prove her wrong.
I dont mind getting an A, just knowing that what she predicted is correct really bugs me. She really offended me, so I'd like to get the better of her :.

Well at my school the teachers all predict that we'll get As and A*s on everything so its a lot of pressure knowing that we're expected to get A*s when we're nowhere near that at the moment =/ I've got 4 exams this year... the year 10 RE and Science exams and I'm taking my maths a year early. I'm hoping I get an A or an A* in that because I really don't want to have to retake it next year!

We sit all our GCSEs a year early meaning that my exams are all next year (year 10 instead of 11) but I'm doing physics this year making it two years early. I'm predicted an A* but I don't think I have a chance of even coming close.

It puts loads of pressure when you're predicted higher. I was predicted an B and I got an A* last term in science, but now I'm back to B this term because it just put me really out of scale. I'd just not like to know my expectations, just go for the best I can and not worry about what I'm proving.

That way you feel bad if you don't get as well as predicted, even if it is still a good grade (ie; predicted A get a B or something) :/
